Any recommendations on where to take the fam for a weekend getaway? We usually go up in Arkansas or Oklahoma, and have hit Indian Creek & Chicot a few times.

Thanks!

Where do you live? Are you looking to camp in one place and just canoe for the day or do a multi-day float?

Really close, have you ever tried Lake Fausse Pointe state park? They have canoe rentals and campsites that you can only get to by canoe. It's primitive camping, not sure what you have in mind. They have cabins as well. Just look out for the wildlife. LINK

Take a look at East Tex Canoes LINK / North of Beaumont. We did the village creek over nighter last year and it was a good time.

It is alot further but I would also highly recommend Rochelles canoe rental on the upper brazos for a longer weekend.
