They are 8 year olds girls dude. Tell the parents to chill the frick out. It's little girl softball. re: Kid softball dilemma - Nobs
It is what it is. I've coached my daughter in 6u and now 8u. I don't like it any more than you do, but for my area it's an extremely competitive and you have to teach the game to the rules it's played by to win. The aggressiveness in the base running is offset by the level of play by the defense...

re: Dealership internet pricing - Nobs
Mac Hiak won't move off that price. They are the largest volume Ford dealer in the US and do so by showing you their rock bottom price and not moving. I bought in 2013 and best I could do at competing dealers is get them to match. No one in the Houston Metro area will go below their advertised p...
STRICTLY rumor. I have nothing to confirm, but Beaumont is pushing back against the national contract. Not sure what, if anything, that really means.
XOM in Beaumont wants off contract because of the refinery expansion project. They don't want anything happening that can jeopardizi...
Where are you getting info on maintenance and rates on all these sites?
Because I work in Downstream at Woodcreek. I work with people at every Shell Manufacturing location.
What specifically makes them null and void? They were only handshake agreements at this point anyway, correct?
I may be overstating. This is specific to Deer Park. The local terms were already agreed to, prior to the strike. The "rumor" was that after 30 days they were null and...

re: USW strike...** POSSIBLE END IN SIGHT ** - Nobs
Deer Park was running 310k on average. Port Arthur started slow and ramped up, but PA is typically fricked up anyway. No idea on Convent and Norco was in the 220ish range after the Entergy issue two days in. The local terms of the contracts are null and void and must be renegotiated. Word on ...
How did we lose? More pay and we still have all our benefits gfy
If you think you are walking back into the same job you're and idiot. The one thing that was learned was that the union laziness is the reason things are like they are. All the Shell facilities ran better, got mor...

re: USW strike...** POSSIBLE END IN SIGHT ** - Nobs
This isn't going to last for months because the first facility to decertify will be the first domino falling. Rapid succession after that. Norco and Deer Park are practically in a race to get to the numbers required to force the vote. ...
fightin tigers
Laugh all you want. I've worked in P&T, Norco, Deer Park, and now Pipelines. The training and qualifications are being taken seriously. There isn't enough people qualified and it's one of the main reasons contractors are slowly being brought back versus business ...
