re: Grill recommendations for a beginner essentially? - KJS
Yes. Webber gas grills will outlast 3 or 4 of anything else. They are a much thicker grade of metal, the top on my Genesis 2 is a heavy cast aluminum, double walled, and much heavier duty than the others. In ten years I've been through 3 or 4 other brands. My dad still has his Webber gas he bought 1...

also, arc-fault breakers SUCK and are expensive so tell your elect only use as many as you have to to satisfy the inspector. If using Mexican labor watch em or make sure builder watches like a hawk. Most mexi crews will have one skill guy if your lucky. The other dudes may be coffee farmers or somet...

re: New home construction thread. ANY AND ALL advice/tips/tricks welcomed - KJS
Make damn sure your Hvac guy marks all his copper lines on the ply/osb if hardy board or any type of paneling is nailed up. Make sure all kitchen wiring gets marked so the cabinet folks don't screw or shoot nails into wall wiring or pex plumbing. Pre wire for a generator even if you don't get on...

re: Ranger vs. Honda SxS - KJS
I like the Honda. Very quiet running machine. They haven't been out long enough to see how they hold up. The big red UTV seems to hold up well and their atvs last forever. I and several buddies own Rangers. The rangers are nice machines but rather loud. The Vikings are nice too. Rangers seem to go t...

re: Transmission change and oil change. - KJS
Most cars don't have a tran drain plug, hence dropping the pan, unless you disconnect from the trans cooler and pump it out. But you won't be getting the pan crud, just replacing the fluid. You can save some money and do yourself. Youtube is your friend. ...

re: Transmission change and oil change. - KJS
Drop the pan. I wouldn't flush trans at 9 years, unless its been flushed at regular intervals. Make sure the pan crud gets cleaned and new gasket replaced. ...

Composite gun stock chemical reaction - KJS
My shotgun stock seems to have "melted" or reacted with something. It's a black goo that I can't remove for anything. Leaves black on your hands that's hard to come off as well. Anyone ever seen this? Gun is a Winchester super X3. ...

re: Low Brass Shells in Stoeger 3020 - KJS
If you bought for skeet you can prob get a softer recoil spring. If you bought for doves n ducks do what feller above said and go cycle a couple boxes of magnum loads and the spring should be fine for anything 1 1/8 or above. The older Benellis were the same way. ...

re: Is there better marine fuel line than what's sold at Academy or Bass Pro? - KJS
Marine places carry a blue neoprene fuel hose. No liner to break down. Also keep startron or sta-bil in your fuel. I've been using the blue hose on all my motors from surface drives, to ski boats. Has worked well thus far. ...

re: What are the best shows in Vegas? - KJS
La Reve and Absynthe are my faves for the circ type shows, Brad Garrett's comedy club was very very funny. Had our stomaches sore from laughing so hard. Cool atmosphere too!...

re: Thinking about getting a travel trailer - KJS
On my second one now. They are junk imho. Rubber roofs need constant resealing/caucking, awnings rot, tires dry rot, and most of the mechanics and appliances are constructed cheaply. Must be kept under a RV cover if you expect any longevity at all. I'll keep mine untill I build a perm structure on m...

Torsion bar/key leveling 2500 HD good or bad - KJS
i want to level my 2500 gmc. Rough country and several other sites sell a leveling "key" kit. I also read you can crank in the stock keys on the adjustment bolt. I'd like to keep the current feel and don't want to wear out my front end components. What say the OB?...
