re: Looking for suggestions on steel/composite toe work boots - KJS on 6/25/17 at 8:34 am
Timberland Pros. Most comfortable boot that requires the least or no break-in to me. Been wearing steel toe boots since 96 and I've worn most major brands. On my 6th pair of timberlands now....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Older Baton Rouge residents. What lead to the decline of NBR? - KJS on 6/25/17 at 7:26 am
Born and raised in the "garden district " near city park. Beautiful neighborhoods and homes around there. We would ride our bikes to the park and play all day. Then one day our bikes started missing, the little store down the street was robbed several times, a neighbor was attacked in her home, and ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Help with anniversary trip idea - KJS on 6/1/17 at 6:12 pm
20 year coming up. She likes to play black jack so we usually stay at a Biloxi casino, eat at Mary Mahone's and chill at pool during the day. I'd like to do something different but I'm coming up empty with something that caters to night life, and fun day time activities. We just have the weekend so ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (12)

(Former pro) Gender makes no difference. I've trained hard headed bitches and soft males. If you want a gundog, make sure pup is from parents that Both hunt. Why ckc? Personally id get a dual registered AKC/UKC pup from Master Hunter or The equivalent in UKC parents. Get the pup the breeder sta...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Grill recommendations for a beginner essentially? - KJS on 3/16/17 at 10:00 pm
Yes. Webber gas grills will outlast 3 or 4 of anything else. They are a much thicker grade of metal, the top on my Genesis 2 is a heavy cast aluminum, double walled, and much heavier duty than the others. In ten years I've been through 3 or 4 other brands. My dad still has his Webber gas he bought 1...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Make damn sure your Hvac guy marks all his copper lines on the ply/osb if hardy board or any type of paneling is nailed up. Make sure all kitchen wiring gets marked so the cabinet folks don't screw or shoot nails into wall wiring or pex plumbing. Pre wire for a generator even if you don't get on...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Ranger vs. Honda SxS - KJS on 2/12/17 at 7:20 am
I like the Honda. Very quiet running machine. They haven't been out long enough to see how they hold up. The big red UTV seems to hold up well and their atvs last forever. I and several buddies own Rangers. The rangers are nice machines but rather loud. The Vikings are nice too. Rangers seem to go t...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Transmission change and oil change. - KJS on 1/4/17 at 12:09 pm
Most cars don't have a tran drain plug, hence dropping the pan, unless you disconnect from the trans cooler and pump it out. But you won't be getting the pan crud, just replacing the fluid. You can save some money and do yourself. Youtube is your friend. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
Composite gun stock chemical reaction - KJS on 12/25/16 at 6:56 am
My shotgun stock seems to have "melted" or reacted with something. It's a black goo that I can't remove for anything. Leaves black on your hands that's hard to come off as well. Anyone ever seen this? Gun is a Winchester super X3. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (3)
re: Low Brass Shells in Stoeger 3020 - KJS on 10/2/16 at 8:55 pm
If you bought for skeet you can prob get a softer recoil spring. If you bought for doves n ducks do what feller above said and go cycle a couple boxes of magnum loads and the spring should be fine for anything 1 1/8 or above. The older Benellis were the same way. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Is there better marine fuel line than what's sold at Academy or Bass Pro? - KJS on 5/27/16 at 8:31 am
Marine places carry a blue neoprene fuel hose. No liner to break down. Also keep startron or sta-bil in your fuel. I've been using the blue hose on all my motors from surface drives, to ski boats. Has worked well thus far. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
