re: Dems, what will next week be like? - JoshuaChamberlain
Not a dem but to answer your question it will be a smooth delivery of broad platitude that marches out all walks of life with dramatic music and flawless stage presentation without the obvious hiccups of what we have all seen the last few days. The media will pregurgitate and then regurgitate how or...

re: Confederate Soldiers had to make a loyalty pledge to the United States... - JoshuaChamberlain
C'mon man! Not the best comparison 150 years and entirely different circumstances. Side note: My grandad's dad didn't take the oath after being captured at Bentonville in March '65. He didn't take it when paroled in June '65. Lived to be 97 and collected a pension. Different times indeed....
Think Hillary wins?
ISWYADH I Posted my reasons why recently. But yes I'm 99.999% sure with even more confidence than my board famous 2012 failure, that barring any indictment (no shot in hell) or national emergency (slightly less shot in hell) she will win comfortably. I'm ...

re: 153 years ago this exact moment - JoshuaChamberlain
AU66
Only a very small number of North Carolinians and a few Virginians made it to the wall. The bulk majority were out of the fight before they even reached emmitsburg road which acted as a meat grinder of sorts as union artillery swept down both sides of the line from both flank...

re: 153 years ago this exact moment - JoshuaChamberlain
Not rubbing it in. All stated was factual. Had MANY ancestors on that field representing Georgia, Alabama and Texas. I will never back down from my opinion that Lee was a stubborn fool and could have easily flanked the entire union army had he acted sooner and on the suggestion of Longstreet, Hoo...

153 years ago this exact moment - JoshuaChamberlain
What is left of Pickett, Pettigrew and Trimble's boys are hauling arse and/or limping back to the tree line from whence they came less than an hour before. Greeting them is the stubborn Robert E. Lee, repeatedly saying "It is my fault. It is all my fault." Refusing the advice and suggestion of many ...
This election is a lot tighter
Don't be .. Well, me. It really isn't. Hillary is the 'known' for worse or for better. People will vote for the known. They might not like her but they know what they are getting. At worst, a replay of the last 8 years at best, something minuscul...

re: The Tuscaloosa Tornado - JoshuaChamberlain
I hate it every time we replay it on our long form programming. It makes me hurt. My wife is a UA alumn and her sister was still in school at the time there and I had to work 17 hours straight covering the outbreak not being able to answer questions fast enough to my bride or to my father in law. ...

NBC has been rehearsing with this graphic for weeks now. The die has been cast for a LONG time. SMH @ anyone who still believes their vote matters, on either 'side'. ...

re: I bring bad bad news to the poliboard.... a certain someone gives his prediction - JoshuaChamberlain
I counter by saying that I don't forsee Trump having a prayer in the general and will be defeated handily as things sit now. That should cancel out the OP right? But really, it's gonna be ugly. One of us will be wrong. ...
