I think I am happier to see our current recruits commenting stuff like this in response to new commits:

quote:

Man every time I step foot in LSU they make me wanna recommit. Man I love this place??!!!!!!!

That's a tweet from Trey Holly

Jalen Brown quoted that tweet too and said something along the lines of me too. I know there will always be some attrition, but it feels like we are getting dudes who want to be here, and will stick with us throughout the recruitment process, and once on campus.

It's crazy the success you find when you actually promote a family environment instead of just saying you have one like previous coaches

Another example: the other day, LSU posted a video of hosting the local Boys & Girls Club:

LINK

It's a great video to see because the players actually look like they want to be out there with them and take part in everything.

Then, one of the comments under that tweet:

Sounds like this is a new thing that Kelly has brought with him, and it pays dividends in more ways than one. Those kids have an awesome day with the players that has a lasting impact, and other people/recruits see those things

Man im really hopin Ali Gaye has a phenomenal year and earns himself alot of money at the next level. Dude passes the eye test and has shown glimpses of what he can do on the field. Now it seems this year he has really stepped forward as a leader off the field, calling out teammates during practice and just setting a positive example for those around him. Refreshing to see the effort he is putting in.

I’m wondering if all these recruits picking out alternate uniforms means anything for season? Will we see more of it?

I love the all whites and then white purple white

At this point, with all the recruits’ pics, I’d think doing one white out game a year wouldn’t offend the traditionalists and could actually be the start of a cool new tradition for the fans and players.

As long as the unis stay the same, and we stick with 3 colors, for a few games a year, I don't care what the combo is as long as it's what it's supposed to be for the big games.

Not trying to be argumentative, but I’d like to respectfully disagree.

We are a big6 program in the sec and should try to limit the changes.

It’s a storied program that has won 3 titles in 20 years with the
Gold helm
White top
Gold britches.

….and I am a home-purple-jersey guy. Willing to acquiesce on the home purples, though, just because of the tradition.

White on white on white looks very good and I wish it was the traditional home uni from long ago.

But going to a third uni-combo starts to take away from tradition and the recognition of those recent hi lights in the dome of each championship.

Stay on my lawn as long as yall would like. It’s just my opinion which has been downvoted more than it’s ever been upvoted.

The young recruiting staff is really going to work out well for LSU. Especially in the 2024 class. There's a lot going on behind the scenes with this group.

And just think that last year some folks on here were trashing Jordan Arcement.

I guess he's been re-aligned.

I’m as traditional as they come but the all whites are starting to have a tradition of their own. Will never forget the beat down of Auburn in 2011. I’d be totally fine wearing those for a conference home and away game every year.

I feel like I don't even recognize this place anymore.
