The government compelling "speech" by threatening to taking something away would definitely violate the First Amendment. Just change out the being present for the anthem with being present for a gay pride event and the same people agreeing with Landry would be marching to the state capital....

I don't understand why so many people dislike this deal. This board has been wanting to sign former stars to 1 year "prove-it" deals for the past decade plus. We finally get a previous DROY on a 1 year prove-it and people are pissed?...

Twelve was already too many. How many 11-14th ranked teams at the end of the regular season are deserving of playing in the the playoffs? ...

Purdy just finished his first full season as starter. He probably will get better over time. Dak is who he is at this point. There is no upside beyond where he already is. Plus Purdy is very cheap at the moment....

It's a reference to an old Les Miles saying/sound bite from a recruiting bash. A QB flipped on us for Notre Dame on NSD and Les made the comment that it wasn't a big deal because he "didn't have the chest" to play LSU anyway. Basically a Les-ism for calling someone a pussy....

And that's the same reason why he probably won't throw at the combine and will instead wait until LSU's Pro Day to throw for scouts. Every top 5 projected QB does this now....
