That’s some pretty good pocket change I’d say

That’s some decent money to be on the roster. $22 grand a month is a very comfortable living. Plus the per diem and travel dollars. Save and invest wisely and you could have a solid base for life after football.

Are they playing in the team's city? The USFL played all of their games in Birmingham the first year and then in Birmingham and I think Columbus last year. The New Orleans Breakers (RIP) never played in NOLA.

Man I was hoping he'd break through after staying on the Saints practice squad all season.

Same. He always had the best attitude and mindset. I'll always root for him.

Don't know anything about the UFL. Will it survive?

Plus $1600/month for housing.

Housing allowance being good depends on where you live. $1,600 per month won't get you a 2 bedroom apartment in most cities.

They're being paid ~175k for 8 months as a salary to supplement the housing stipend if needed. I'm sure some of the younger single guys may live together and split costs.

I'm glad it's a legitimate wage that outpaces what they would likely earn working a regular entry level 9-5.

How far does $1600 get you on a $22000 (minimum)/month salary?

Do they take kids right out of high school or do they require them to be 3 years removed like the NFL?

If they let 18 year olds play, then I could see that hurting college football much like Minor League baseball does to college baseball.

That amount of money would be very enticing to kids that want to try and get noticed for the NFL but don't want to do the entire school charade. I would imagine that most of the non-superstars aren't getting anymore than that from NIL.
