Nice Camps huh...lol. or at least my brothers is/was. He's right on the canal has a pretty big boat. Spoke to him yesterday morning and he said he thought they would be okay. I'm guessing the cell service is down because he would have responded to me by now. ...

From left to right Billy Cannon, Warren Rabb, (?)Kennard, Howard McBride (my step-dad) and the last one I cant remember...I will ask my step-dad again. He said he thought the photo was dated 1965 or 1967 at the un-veiling of the mural....

Yeas he is a little sad...but my step-dad has declined somewhat over the last year, but he has vivid memories of the Bellemont and talking about them seems to perk him up a bit. I will be in late Friday and I'm sure I will be able to find the time to either scan it to disk for you or go over to a ph...

Thank you so much for doing all that you have done. I remember that mural well and it was so beautiful. Again I can't wait to show my step-dad all the pictures you took and talk about the memories. Just yesterday he told me after going out there..."If only those walls could talk they would have neve...

Yes do call him...seems everyone wants a copy of that photo. The guy at the demolition office called someone who also wants a copy. Seems to be the only photo with Coach Charlie Mac and Cannon in it....I told him you were gonna call......

My Dad went by the Bellemont today and spoke to some people connected with demolition. They had a great conversation about the place. He only went in as far as the old lobby. The gentleman he spoke with said the Billy cannon mural had been donated to LSU (?) There are 2 news stories to be broadcast ...

If you go forward with this idea you really need to talk to my step-dad. Having been the General manager of the Bellemont for so long he can give you so much information. If you want more info - Txjewelya at gmail and I can give you my step-dad's name and number...

After I told my stepdad about this thread he was going to look for that photo and next time I'm in Baton Rouge he is going to give it to me. So I will post it when I get it from him in a couple weeks...
