My Inlaws live on a canal connected to the river. Water was 3-1/2 feet in house. No power. They are evacuating now by way of someone's jacked up Jeep. Water in places never seen before. I'll know more later.

Damn that's where a good friends family has a camp. They are the second house when you enter the canal from the river.

Nice Camps huh...lol. or at least my brothers is/was. He's right on the canal has a pretty big boat. Spoke to him yesterday morning and he said he thought they would be okay. I'm guessing the cell service is down because he would have responded to me by now.

Hope he's alright, it's always stressful waiting on that phone call.

Sometimes texting gets through when calling doesn't (as if you haven't tried that already... just talkin' out my arse here ).

Maybe Springfield?

I'm trying to get in touch with my friends that have a place out there.

Apparently the water is still slowly coming up. They just shut down the water & sewage as the pumping station is going under. Everything from the storage unit to the river has water. Many houses toward the front have water in them that have never flooded.
No power. Landlines were still working. Cell is spotty. The road in has deep spots that a regular car can't get through.

I will now have my Inlaws for a while. Damn you Isaac

We've got a camp in Terry Harbor. My Dad is headed out there later today I believe. I'll relay any info I get.

Cell service is always flaky out there for me. Try texting.

His power could also be out and stuck with a dead phone.

The Tickfaw runs through my uncles property off 441 just north of 38. I bet the deer will be stacked in there. Too bad Deer season is not open

My Dad isn't headed out there today because he doesn't expect to be able to get to the camp. Was expecting record water levels. Our camp is raised on pilings and we have had 4-5 feet of water in the past FWIW.
