Which Sig P229 Should I Get?

Im ordering a P229 some time this month. Selling 3 other guns that I dont use/like and consolidating on 1. Ive shot a P229 (i think enhanced elite) and i like everything about it. Itll be a general purpose carry/nightstand gun. The guns im selling will cover the majority of the cost if not all of it for any of them.
Right now Im torn between basically all of the models they offer. I like the M11 because it doesnt have the rail, i like the legion because of all the action work and the undercut grip frame, i like the basic 229 for the price. I want a 357 sig which kind of rules out the M11 but getting a 9mm is fine with me if the gun is a better fit.
So which one should i get? I noticed the legion comes with extra stickers and a gold coin which is a huge selling point.

Plastic gun shooters will be jealous of my rig that costs 3x as much and doesnt shoot me in the upper arse cheek when i holster it.

My 357 sig is a blast to shoot. I agree that a pistol needs a hammer as well.

Im dead set on some flavor of 229, and i have a preference for 357 sig if available. Im more concerned with getting the perfect gun than caliber though. Being Im getting rid of a couple guns price isnt a big deal below $1500

I have the 229 Extreme. Like it.

Does that one have the SRT trigger? Feel like thats a necessary feature?

It does have the SRT trigger. It isn't necessary but the general consensus from the Sig forums is that they prefer it over a standard trigger.

If you go .357 then you can always add a .40 barrel if you wanted that dual caliber swap ability. Or if you wanted the 9mm then I think it requires an exchange kit (slide, barrel, mag).
The 229 is on my "to get" list but it will either be the Legion or the new Emperor Scorpion.

I have a base P229, but it's an older Exeter gun, no rail with the classic handguards. It's .40 and I'm highly likely to get a .357 barrel, 9mm slide kit (with bbl) and a .22 LR exchange kit to make it a 4 caliber gun.
That's what would steer me to a new P229 "base" even though it does have a rail (doesn't it?) - the cost per caliber option gets pretty low if you collect all those parts.
Of course, they (the parts/kits) never seem to be in stock when I have the money lately. I mean, I could get a Bar-Sto .357 barrel easy enough (and the mags are the same, BTW - so your ammunition discipline must be 100% if you go 4 calibers/1 gun - keep that in mind).

Ill definitely get a .40 barrel for it pretty soon and possibly a .22 kit eventually.
Right now im leaning toward the legion just because its the decked out model but if it is $300 extra for a bunch of worthless shite than id like to know ahead od time

I own both the Legion and a generic Nitron version. In fairness I bought the Nitron pretty used so some of my feelings might be due to break in. Whether it's worth the price difference is up to you ultimately, but the following pros make it worth it to me.
Legion Out of the Box Pros:
- X-Ray Sights are top notch - tritium front with high visibility ring. Picking up front sight at any time is very easy.
- Factory Grips
- Undercut is night and day better than the non-Legion; makes the chunky frame fit right into my grip
Nitron:
- Trigger is not much worse than the Legion; pull weight and grittiness feels close to Legion - likely due to it being well broken in when I bought it.
- Lack of undercut really becomes noticeable only because I have a P229 with an undercut
- Sig Night Sights are fine but are standard 3 dot variety.

I have the M11A1 in desert finish, and it's a sweet shooting piece (9mm). The Short Reset Trigger (SRT) is crisp, and the nitron coating looks and feels clean.

For me I'd either get the base model or the Emperor Scorpion.
The Emperor Scorpion has a bigger frame.
If you really want the .357 you only have two choices:
The Legion or Nitron

You should get your gun delivered to Grayguns and have them do magic to the trigger and everything else.

Insane what all they offer.

I have big hands so typically I like a full size frame.
The Glock 19 is almost too small in length of the grip (twss)
