re: Larry Drew/Seth Curry > Norris Cole? - irvchilichill1
@shameless pel... U may be correct, but not sure if Gentry values defense as much as Monty did. I'm sure he does to an extent, but Seth's shooting is vastly superior to Cole and Larry is impressing with his vision which means he is picking up Gentry's system to the point where that may be more val...

Larry Drew/Seth Curry > Norris Cole? - irvchilichill1
Starting to think they won't resign Norris or holding off on a signing in order to see what they have in Seth and Larry.. Feel like either one could make the roster and be the 3rd PG off of the bench.. Seth has really developed more of a dribble drive, floater game and Larry has decent court v...

re: Jrue will return tonight but will be on a limit - irvchilichill1
This is particularly alarming because reports just said he didn't feel right yesterday. He does not need to be out there to reaggravate a chronic injury. I think this may be the wrong move. I am not impressed at all with our training staff. If anybody needs to go is them. I don't like conflic...

re: Whats our starting 5 next year w/ Malik Newman? - irvchilichill1
With all this being said about lineups and depth at the perimeter positions, I would hope Johnny goes back to full court pressing teams throughout the game. Had a lot of success with that last year. All these players could go hard exerting energy and Quarterman's length would be the key on the op...

re: Joe Lunardi's current bracket projections- Final Four? - irvchilichill1
Yes... Having Damian Jones would of been another player that would undoubtedly have bolstered frontcourt depth to an extent we could consider ourselves legitimate title contenders.... Add in a another decent small forward at about 6'6 or above and there is no doubt in my mind we are talking about...

re: Joe Lunardi's current bracket projections- Final Four? - irvchilichill1
Man bear Tiger please be the first poster to eat a healthy plate of crow if it happens.... Not saying it will.... So I'm not playing the what will I do if they dont make it to the Final Four game, but I'm not ruling out and dismissing the possibility as comical and far-fetched, by no means... We ...

Joe Lunardi's current bracket projections- Final Four? - irvchilichill1
Lunardi has LSU as a 10th seed right now, which should improve after beating Ole Miss... Looking at the teams in the East, in a perfect world, I feel I would favor LSU over any other team, sans Virginia, but I would love our chances to beat them as a #1 seed over say Kentucky, Arizona or Duke... ...

re: What the basketball team really needs. - irvchilichill1
One last thing to ponder on TQ, Elfrid Payton was a mid-lottery pick just this past year... TQ is a better offensive player, especially shooting, at the same stage of their careers, similar court vision to Payton and TQ may be on the same level defensively, and if he is not, he is not far behind. ...

re: What the basketball team really needs. - irvchilichill1
Amazing that a thread talking about a kid who had a TRIPLE DOUBLE and is only the 3rd player in LSU history to do so, as a sophomore albeit, is viewed by some as "average." Obviously those who say this, don't understand nor have a clue, for one how tough it is to accomplish such a feat, let alone...

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
Well can anyone come up with a fair trade and works cap wise, between us,Houston and Celtics or Timberwolves, where we get a starting caliber SF? I think we have to try to get it thru the Asik trade to get what we need at the 3... Otherwise, Aminu might be your starting 3 again... lol....

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
Above trade is fair for all parties and makes each team better and fills needs all around... Dell can thank me once it's finalize... lol. Note: if need be, Houston can get back Jeff Green in the deal if we get Parsons. The specifics can be worked out but this is a good starting point for all t...

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
And if the Rockets want Rondo or Love, we make it happen to finalize it. Celtics would be perfect because they could want Rivers for their rebuild and we see if they want Gordon or Anderson to swing for Parsons or Jeff Green who I like as well......

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
Well even if they don't get Melo or Bron, they could sign Deng... Long shot, yes, but we are already working out the specifics of a deal and could try to include a three team trade where it could work... Guy can dream, can't he?? ...

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
Jrue/Russ/Reke/PG Gordon/Reke/Morrow Parsons/Aminu/SF Davis/Blatche/PF Asik/Smith/Blatche Solid starters, quality bench, see what happens with that rotation and adjust at All Star Break to find missing piece... Young team, but dangerous for several years......

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
Then all you are waiting on is for Gordon to either ball so he can be trade bait for your 2nd star or get traded as part of a package at the break to acquire the finishing piece for the playoff push... His contract is toxic but they say he is fully healthy now and has no excuse not to hoop with the...

re: Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
From Houston's perspective if they get Melo, they don't need Parsons at that point. So then Anderson becomes a person of interest for spacing with Howard and a solid 6th man. We can even include Rivers so he could back up Harden... At that point we would have a solid starting 5 and then focus...

Include Anderson in the Asik deal? - irvchilichill1
I'm of the belief now that we should also include Anderson to get Asik and Parsons. I think Parsons would give us the spacing we need that Anderson provides but at the SF position. Anderson is a luxury now that Asik is here and I think that we could get a quality stretch four on the market behind...

re: Any chance Jabari comes back on a one year deal? - irvchilichill1
No. Time to move on unfortunately. Might as well Draft a rookie and groom him if he merits playing time. With Byrd and Vacarro you now have quality safeties to assist the weak corner. Game plan is key. Lewis is solid to man up on 1 wr, so you help the 2nd corner, whoever it is. The old guard is...

Does Brees restructure contract to provide cap relief? - irvchilichill1
With the signing of Byrd, more impact players needed and the signing of the rookies, does anyone think Loomis goes to Brees to restructure his contract to provide cap relief? If Brees wants to win another championship I think he knows his contract is killing the team and it will ultimately result i...
