SWLA-Pecan Island. We ended pretty dismal. YOY we were down probably 70% on killed ducks. Chalk it up to the birds never really migrating in any great numbers.

Luckily I was able to hunt Kansas and Oklahoma, where the hunting was spectacular.

SWLA chenier. Started off strong, and like the last couple years near empty skies by close. I don’t understand why we didn’t not benefit from the late season fronts. Fronts dont seem to matter.

Chauvin- better year than recent years but that’s not saying much. A lot of dosgris. The end of the season was much slower as well.

Crawfish ponds close to New Iberia have been ok. They were full of birds at the start of the season. As the season went on, we basically had to wait for new birds to show up after the fronts.

I have not seen or killed many teal this year. After the recent cold snaps, I’ve seen big flocks of grays, spoonies, and pintail, but they’re pretty blind wary now.

The Duck Commander Crew claims this was the worst they've ever seen it.

Gotta have snow and lots of it to keep them from dry feeding in the Midwest.

Started out decent with seeing migrating ducks heading south. Then got slow, and only a little push by the fronts, but nothing to brag about. What I don't understand was the lack of wood ducks. You normally see groups flying back and forth from the woods to the lake, but not this year.

Very few this year for sure. But there is zero flooded timber for them on the west side of the state this year. Or most of the state

Grosse Savanne had to hunt their hwy 14 rice fields due to lack of water in the marsh. Daily avg was 3 birds per blind last week but the brunch was da bomb.

Worst season I’ve ever had in Venice. We hunted the same birds all year long never got a nice push. Saltwater intrusion fricked everything up.

Been dying a slow death for decades, even duck stamp money can't fix.

But some diversions or BP money maybe could have.
