re: Can we go 3 for 4 on CFP teams....

Washington stud corner (Washington has produced some decent NFL corners recently) just entered the portal. Would be instant CB1 if we were able to get him. ...

That sounds like it would against the rules as that’s contingent on being at a certain school and a starter (i.e., contingent on certain athletic performance). ...

Most probably don’t know this, but it’s against the NCAA rules for the NIL deal to be contingent upon an athlete’s enrollment at a certain school or for certain athletic performance. Basically can’t be structured as pay-for-play. It’s essentially supposed to be an endorsement deal for Name, Ima...
Anderson was not very good. Even Lacy was inconsistent. BK should have found a few snaps for Brown and Sampson to develop them and keep them engaged. I really can’t think of any other recent stud freshman WR that we’ve had that just didn’t get any playing time…...
Likely need one year to develop Brown and Sampson. 2025 would be the year it could happen. ...
It’s time to play Welch. I think Sage needs to be moved. Into a Greg Brooks type role. Harris has to get better. And we need to find a stud safety. ...

We have Sampson, Jalen Brown and Hilton and we gave Lacy 43 reps after all those drops?! Rotate the WRs a bit more to keep them fresh. ...

QB Sneak

Posted by Kingd92 on 9/4/23 at 1:59 pm
This seems like a lesser issue at this point, but how is this coaching staff still unaware of the QB sneak from under center?! The lack of this play cost us 2 scores early. Lining up 5 yards back on 4th and inches is just asking the Defense to hit you in the backfield…...

re: Josh Williams Showed a good Burst

I think they have him listed at 6’, 207 lbs. But we used to have some legitimate size at RB like Jeremy Hill (230+), Fournette (230+), Guice (225). That FSU RB seemed much bigger than ours. ...

Williams was solid last season too, so idk if that’s an improvement. He’s a solid RB. The problem is most of our RBs seem under sized and we don’t seem to have an elite talent. ...
I’m concerned with Week 3 @ Mississippi St. at the point lol...
Did you see his goal line fade to Nabers?!...
Use this year to develop Jalen Brown and Shelton Sampson so that Nuss has some experienced WRs next year. ...
It’s been a year and half and our coach still doesn’t know that Nuss has much higher upside than Daniels. You think he’ll magically figure it out during the Grambling game?! lol...
Thomas is good too. He did have that bad drop on the deep ball, but it was under thrown. 3rd WR spot should be up for grabs. Idk how we can leave Lacy at that spot after this performance…...

re: Season might as well be lost

That was the same argument last season. And should have been the plan, as it’s clear Daniels doesn’t have championship upside. ...
I think Chestnut would be better as the nickel CB. His lack of size was exploited by the FSU WRs on the boundary. ...
Those changes plus moving Perkins back to a pass rushing role, and this defense will be fine. ...

re: Not Using our Elite Talent

Posted by Kingd92 on 9/4/23 at 12:27 pm
Last season, it took them a while to incoporate Perkins too, when his talent was clear. And now they move Perkins away from the pass rush role he excelled at and made him a zone LB. It seems they are over thinking it when it comes to personnel…...
