Curious to know how old you are. It's been on my mind more and more as I get older. More people I know are passing. Musicians and movie stars I grew up with are also passing on at a faster rate. Im in my 50's btw....

They just got a Trane variable stage system with new ductwork for 13k
That would probably be below cost for a legit dealer. ...

Don't disagree. Arcola is almost too small to consider a town. Good people in Greenville but it is terrible overall....
re: HVAC - Financing
Posted by jagrays on 8/26/23 at 12:47 pm
A dealer can offer 12 months @ 0% and they will have very little finance fees from the creditor, similar to what a credit card fee would be. When you start getting to 36 months and more at 0%, the dealer will have up to 20% + in fees from the creditor. ...
re: Natural gas, home generators, thoughts
I think you are going to be disappointed with that size. I’m about 4k sf with 3 ACs and was told that I’d have to choose what AC that I wanted to run with a 26kw generator.
You can operate a 4,000 sq. ft home & 3 A/C units with a 26KW. You can load manage the units and prioritize ...
And heat? Lol. How much water is pulled from the air in the winter? I’ve yet to hear of anyone with a condensate line issue in the winter…
The switch doesn't have to have water in it to fail. Mice can also chew the wire. As a technician you learn to expect the unexpected. Our area ...
Lol, of course you have. I don’t know the positives other than it is what you say.
But the negatives are the average person doesn’t know the issue if the float switches. Thermostat goes off, it’s very easy to have a smart thermostat that sends you a message it lost power or is consistentl...
re: Additional attic venting to assist ridge vents
Posted by jagrays on 8/6/23 at 2:52 pm
You can have too much ventilation, especially with power vent fans or even wind turbines. You can create a negative pressure in your home which is another set of issues to deal with. Look up negative pressure - attic ventilators. ...

I used to be strict about dogs not coming in the house for anything. If it was below freezing they would stay in the garage. I don't know why I changed, but as I got older I let them inside more and more. Now my two dogs are inside 95% of the time. I'm generally happier now than I was before, the...
