Have you ever known anyone that financed an HVAC system?
You don’t have to admit it but I’m curious?

Dont a lot of places offer 0% financing?
They build that into the price

I would guess anyone who has bought a new home has done so.

Know a guy that works for an HVAC company and they do a ton of financed projects. Not many people can come out of pocket $12,000 if their system needs to be replaced.

My brother in law did. Had to replace his AC to the tune of 10k. He never has cash or savings so he financed it.

I’m gonna need one by next summer. Mine is under-endowed. I have a coworker that dropped 15k on a new 5 ton and his house is 56 degrees in this he’ll heat.
His also is NG so that increases cost.
Our house was new and we bought it in 2006. So it’s near time.
I also don’t want to spend that much on cash.

Yeah I took a 0% on an all new unit in our rental.

Maybe a home equity line of credit is an option as well. Comes in handy for this type of expense.

Most places have 0% interest financing, you'd actually be stupid not to take advantage of a free loan.

My unit is 14 years old and I was informed it was not working today. Praying it's a capacitor, because I don't have 12k or anywhere near that at the moment.

Power companies used to offer replacement programs with financing if you switch to a high efficiency model. DEMCO was partnered with Trane.

in the past it wasnt needed
a 4 ton system in 2001 with all new everything was around $4k
but now, that same 4 ton system in 2023 is almost $12-15k

A gekko took out the capacitor on ours. It was only $180 so we got off easy.

Same. And my guess is contrary to what the average user on the OT claims, neither do they.

Doesn’t that give the power company access to restrict usage at their behest.

And those are $25 on Amazon. Order one and have it lying around

I did with Surgies 24 months interest free complete Trane System

No, but I work with a guy who financed a Traeger grill.

I did it. $43k total gut job and the 0% financing option was the exact same price as cash lump sum. Made zero sense to pay it immediately. The money sits in an account earning interest and comes out each month to pay the note.
