I've been busting out my old fly rod and cricket cage lately but although the little buggers are a blast to catch they're a PIA to clean.

Supposed to go to Demopolis this weekend to load up on 'em. My uncle and father used to go over there when I was very small and it was nothing to go through 500 crickets in a day on bream and shellcracker. Since my pappy is long since walking with the Lord I wanted my uncle to show me the ropes over there. I'm 50 and haven't been fishing with my uncle since my Dad died 25 years ago. I'm looking forward to it.

Give Bamarep the lowdown.

This works pretty good. I’ve used it on flounder so I’m sure it will work on bream. Just need a drill and your wife’s cake mixer attachment.

I’ve heard dragging them in a sack behind a boat while cruising will strip the scales. I’ve never attempted it though.

This definitely works. Don’t pull it too long though.

BTW I’m from Demopolis.

I have a great wife, but between the two of us we don't know what this would look like

Not sure bout this product but I know someone that built one similar with a motor and a belt to turn a 50 gallon drum with metal grates inside. You could hookup a water hose to wash it out too. This looks like it might work... Kinda pricey tho

Seconded on the Rock-It.

We have one and pulled it for too long. Didn't bring any home that day.

I've used the electric knife to scale them. Works pretty quickly.
