re: Will Ryan Shazier play in the NFL again?
Posted by TuneInnTiger on 4/8/19 at 5:45 am
He will never be able to return to the physical form that is needed to play LB in the NFL. But, if that’s what’s ultimately motivating him it will pay dividends for resuming a normal life....

re: Antonio Brown traded to the Raiders for a 3rd and 5th round pick
Posted by TuneInnTiger on 3/10/19 at 7:13 am
Crazy to think Pittsburgh has lost Brown and Bell who were both under long-term contracts for a 3rd and 5th round pick.
Eating that $21 million in dead money as well so not as if they freed up a ton of cap room.
I would have kept Brown and then waited for him to breach his contract or fail a ...

I’d argue sitting out the last game of the season is a breach of contract.
As far as I know, no one asked him to restructure his current contract. He just decided he was unhappy with it.

re: Blue wave, or not?

Your so called “blue wave” has more to do with retirements and Pennsylvania courts re-drawing the district lines than some liberal philosophical revolution.
Those two factors alone account for a lot of the Democrat pickup opportunities. Add in natural attrition from party in control and that’s en...

Yes, meaning they pulled money out of a few races and are cancelling ad buys.
Cook moves races back and forth. But the better indicator is follow the money and where dems are spending. That’s a far better indicator of the situation on the ground.

House numbers are really tightening. Dems are starting to pull out of races that were either listed as toss-ups or lean dems.
The enthusiasm bump is finally showing in polls.

Heller is currently down 1 or 2 points. That’s before the chaos of this past week which has boosted our numbers.
McSally is also down a few points. But her internals were better than the public polling.
Her opponent Sinema is extremely moderate and make her race tougher.
Indiana similar wit...

Solid list. You need to swap out Cramer for Patrick Morrisey in WV.
Cramer is going to win. And technically they are all considered PAC contributions because you can’t just give them money to their personal bank account.
You can give to re-elect PAC and a leadership PAC to increase how much ...

We just need to the intensity to hold. But this week has done far more to fire up our base.

re: Is the confirmation vote delayed?
Posted by TuneInnTiger on 9/28/18 at 6:03 pm
It’s a procedural vote that had to occur no matter what. Just let’s them move forward.
The final vote wasn’t going to be until Tuesday or possibly Wednesday anyway.
This gives an extra two days for them to find nothing. Manchin and Donnelly should be getting lit up over this time.

re: It’s Pretty Clear the GOP is Using the Ford Accusation to Help Midterms

Whether it was intentional or not, the internal numbers for midterms have been improving since this has all started.
While the Generic ballot has widened, some of the key swing races have shown pretty significant gains for R’s last week.

Agree on Pride being a great tour. It was probably our favorite.
Will Ferrell was actually doing a tasting when we went though. Really nice guy. I know, CSB.
