I think the recipe/formula IS different. for wone thing, when you get at DOG at a Nathan's they have that 'snap' when you bite them...like many of the good hot dog place dogs....

Emphasis on Nathan's of coarse, but the franchise fee on Treacher's is VERY low...or at least it was when I looked into this once upon a time....

Tomatoes in the gravy is a CREOLE thing. Not bad by any means...just not CAJUN...unless you are talking about Italian red gravy which is another name for spaghetti sauce....
