Speaking of, how does LSU's engineering program overall stack up these days? When I was there (long time ago) PETE was world-class of course, and I think Chem E was considered decent, but the rest was pretty mediocre. Still the same?...
Just off the top of my head I'll guess that in any given year out of the top 50 HS baseball prospects, 45 will go to MLB and 5 to college, and it's a miracle that the colleges even get that many. Unlike colleges, MLB can make these top kids offers they can't refuse....

Beat the hell out of them, then invite them to some tailgates for hot Cajun food and cold Abita. LSU will have made some new fans for life....
First prize: Baton Rouge to Atlanta sometime in the mid 90s. Weather was fine leaving, but there was some godawful weather around Atlanta and the ride started getting really nasty over mid-Alabama or so. Had one of those instances where the plane smacked downward so hard anybody unbelted would have ...
Thank you. I've been saying for a long time this board needs a bit more despair.
LOL. UCLA's players are reading TD at this very moment saying to themselves "Hey look at that overconfidence the derps are displaying. Frick man we got this"...
gonna be a long couple of weeks around these parts lot of new faces starting to chime in
Did your post make you feel incredibly clever and witty? ...
As does Gaspard's employment, ya think? Or is that too much to ask for?...
I'd sort of like to see Arky get sent all the way out to the UCSB regional.... ....and then just completely wreck shite right, left and center to show up the jackasses that thought UCSB was worthy of hosting anything besides surfing....
You do realize teams have won the cws without a designated closer, right?
of course they have, but both you and the OP are missing the forest for the trees a bit here. With regard to LSU's natl title hopes, the bullpen is the least of their wrries right now. Of much greater concern...
The people that paid my salary sure as hell wasn't these pussified ignorant millennials AND they aren't paying a dam penny for benefits for me now. These ignorant pukes talk about something they know nothing about from behind their keyboards. I'm not mad as some of the ignorant little pukes m...
Sadly, Chimes Street isn't what it used to be. Maybe walk a circle around that block for old times sake. The old gym-armory is pretty cool, but wait until midnight or so :D...
because every generation of my family has served for the United States since the Revolutionary War.
damn Yankee j/k. A heartfelt thanks to you and yours. ...
Oh look, we've found another one. You are hereby promoted to PFC in the SJW Army, soldier. Congratulations. Oh, and your pitiful little attempt to pretend that it's only about "stolen valor" failed utterly. Try again? Three for a quarter....
Wouldn't be Bill McClard's family, would it? Anyone remember him?...
Ohhh it's mad! It's MAD, yah! IF it's mad! Why you so mad, lil tiny misère? You MAD MAD MAD yah shah! ...
I'm thinking that many/most of these candy-assed "butthurt" types were probably pussies to begin with who probably joined the service for a couple years, were lucky enough to do nothing more dangerous that push a broom, then got the hell out as fast as they could. This Douglas Ducote dipshite who...
