Way back in high school, I drafted my Mustang behind a moving van on I-10, between Mobile and Pensacola. It was a very low trailer, I actually had it in neutral and gently braked to keep from bumping into it, at 80mph.
what this has to do with a leaf, nothing...

It all depends on your noise tolerance. HONDA 2000's run quiet but cost around a grand. You can get higher wattage ones at HF, but can be louder.
I have a cheapo from Aldi, 2000 watt. But it runs things I want to run, but not all at once. The key to generator life is the gas. Buy ethanol free gas...
