Lol, no. Need to get away, though, and it's always nice to have a wingman. Following to see what you come up with.

I'm thinking of doing Budapest, Prague and Vienna.

I was just looking at Tripmasters.com and they have some good flight and hotel packages. I need to do a bit of comparing, but it seems like they have some good deals there. Those three cities are what I was looking at as well.

I know this is late, and Im also about to update my Cuba post with my itinerary. Cuba can definitely be done on a budget! Casa Particular's are an incredibly cheap option, and most offer a food option that is cooked by the family. Check AirBnb, book your first couple nights there so you can get comfortable and familiarize yourself with the area, then go from there. If you use "collectivos" which are local taxis that accept CUP, as opposed to CUC, you can get around very cheap.

Give me your email and I'll forward you the excel sheet I made including links of all the things to do while you're there. It will include area, price, and notes.

It all depends on what you are trying to do? Are you trying to party? Mojitos are about 2 USD, beer is less than a dollar. Are you trying see the history? Do you want to see the country side? There is amazing hiking a few hours east and west of Cuba. You can hike through Vinales, which is absolutely amazing. 3 hours east of Havana, $24 tour-bus style ride round trip from Havana. The hershey train is less than a few dollars to get outisde of the city and into the country side. You can see most of the stuff in Havana for nearly free. I would suggest spending two nights in old Havana, then moving to Vedado, which is less touristy and more "new world".

Let me know if you have any more specific questions and i'll give you my email.

Also, as far as booking tickets there, definitely go with Cuba Air from cancun. Def the cheapest. DO NOT use AeroMexico. They are an awful company in general.

I second whoever said earlier to do Peru. If you are looking for an "adventure" style vacation that's the place. The scenery is incredible and it's dirt cheap once you get there. Only spend one night in Lima, then get out. Learn to surf, they offer cheap lessons. Stay in small town hostels, you will meet other travelers. All of these travelers like to drink, atleast the young ones, and most will join you, or let you join them, on the next excursion. If you want to be super budget savvy and maybe learn a thing or two, check out workaway . It's a nifty little site that will pair you with someone to live with while you are there in exchange for work. We arent talking about forty hours per week, but it ranges. Some only want to learn about culture, some want a couple of hours of work, while some require 4 hours per day. Either way, its a super cool thing to do, and you'll meet incredible people. Imagine working on a finca in South America, or somewhere on a mountain in Peru. It's incredible.

IRELAND

Easy Going, much like NOLA. When Dublin begins to bore you, then the countryside is spectacular. Great golf, and there is no language barrier. People are friendly. Try to avoid winter anywhere in Europe.

I have a buddy that does the same. He's very well traveled and always finds himself going back to Peru solo. I think that alone speaks volumes. I've only been once, I would like to go back, just gotta find the time. The hostels there are mostly well kept, and the travelers are all super open and friendly. You're friend is correct, Americans have some sort of allure to the local women, who are extremely attractive I might add. They are kind of hit or miss, though. I found myself in a few "scary" moments, and all of it had to do with nothing other than culture shock. It's amazing the first time you find yourself in a small town in what is basically a new world to you. It's scary, exciting, surreal. You feel like you're living your own movie. This feeling dies down a little, but it's still there, just not as strong. Kind of like a drug, I guess. haha
