I'm at the point of blowing up the original scenario. The more I read about Eastern Europe, the more I want to go. It appeals to me more than the US, and I haven't done any real international travelling. Time to change that.

I'm thinking 2-3 weeks in September/October. That gives me more time to save money.

Europe is always a great option. Going in November, but to northern parts.

The refugee issue gave me pause, but screw it. Not gonna let that keep me from doing the things I want to do.

The whole middle east crisis is only keeping me from going to just a few places. I'm good on France, Germany, and Belgium for a while.

I met get killed (or down voted to death) for saying this, but if meeting women is your #1 goal of the trip than consider Las Vegas. Hear me out-

flight- should be reasonable msy to las vegas

lodging- this is where vegas makes a ton of sense. decent hotels in major cities are ridiculously expensive. rooms pricing in vegas is really only bad fri and sat nights. sun-thur you can easily stay at a 4 or 5* mega resort for $100 all in per night. you just need to shop around either on priceline, or sign up for a rewards program like mlife. I'm constantly getting emails for rooms at aria for $69/night with a $50 resort credit sun-thur despite the fact that i never gamble. obviously the weekend is more lively in vegas, but you could probably find a room at a solid place like flamingo for $200 all in fri or sat.

budget- depending on your tastes, vegas can be done on a budget. the 2 biggest things that people spend on in vegas is gambling and clubs. you don't like clubs so thats fine. if you can resist gambling you will be ok. there are a ton of cheap eateries all over the strip, whether its a mcdonalds or a $7.99 buffet special. people trying to do bachelor parties and things like that on a budget in vegas doesn't work, but based on what you mentioned in the OP i think you will be ok (provided you aren't a gambler)

things to do- night clubs and pool parties are the big and expensive thing in vegas, but they aren't the only thing. all the nicer hotels have lounges. there are plenty of bars in hotels and on the strip where you can meet women. you mentioned you may be interested hanging on a beach... obviously no beaches in vegas but most of the hotels have amazing, tropical pools; i.e. flamingo, mandalay bay, tropicana, mgm.

No, that's a good option. I've done Vegas a lot. We'll see. Got a Europe on the brain at the moment. Cheers!

Paris is a bit over rated for me the time I visited. I'm going to have to check and see how the hotel rates are for each city though.

Are you female? Hot?

I'm thinking of doing Budapest, Prague and Vienna. Maybe Krakow. 2/3 weeks.

I need a vacation badly, but a week in Denver ain't gonna cut it. I'm going through major life changes at the moment, and I need a "personal renaissance", if you will. Time to quit burning my life away with work and stress, and savor the experience. I need a total shutdown and reboot.
