Punta Cana all-inclusive-experiences?

Wife and I are looking at going for about 5 days next Feb or March. Its a bit overwhelming trying to wade through all of the Youtube reviews.
Currently leaning towards Lopesan Costa Bavaro or Dreams Onyx.
We're mostly just interested in sitting on pools/beaches while sipping on drinks and nightlife isn't a huge priority.

We enjoyed the Hyatt Ziva/Zalara. One side is adults only but honestly not many kids on family side. Pools/drinks were great

Secrets Cap Cana. No kids, very limited nightlife. Pool and beach were great when we went last May.

Iberostar Hotel Grand Bavaro. Very nice resort and rooms, great beach and food. Low key nightly entertainment if you decide to do something a little different. Also have access to some other properties they can transport you to by golf cart.

Wife and I spent 7 nights at the Hilton La Romana all inclusive in Bayahibe this year. It’s about an hour ride from PUJ.
Bayahibe is away from all the touristy spots. Just peace, quiet and relaxation. Staff was super nice.

we've done sanctuary in PC
food was meh. scenery was excellent. smallish beach
we've also done casa de campo in la romana. it's basically a small town/compound that requires passport to get within the gates. you get a golf cart to tool around in. i'd recommend this over the sanctuary in PC. it's at least an hour away. numerous beaches, golf courses, restaurants

I went to the Sanctuary a few years ago and you’re being kind about the food. It was the worst food of any hotel/resort that I have ever had, just bad all around. I did enjoy golf at Punta Espada though.

I stayed at Excellence El Carmen. Adults only, low key nightlife, great food and drinks.

Drinks at pool were always good, not sure what type of room you got but we had a suite with the butler, etc. Also had access to the private bar area etc. We spent most of time on Ziva side since our daughter was with us. We stayed on resort most of time except one day went to Scape Park, food was ok, we found the best breakfast on the Ziva side was at the "healthy" restaurant, forget the name, but it was good.

My wife and I just got back from Hilton La Romana 2 weeks ago and I definitely recommend it as a place to go if you are looking for a place to chill for a week or so.
