The big three global models starting to agree on a deep low running up the Atlantic late next week. The track is a little farther east than the usual big snowmakers but it's projected strength means snowfall will be more expansive than normal.

Those traveling through New England next week should keep an eye on this for flight cancellations and delays.

GFS:

Canadian:

European:

Cant see precip but look at position and 960mb low out there.

I'll leave it to Cuse to look into flight delays/cancellations if this materializes.

Don’t know all about your fancy weather maps, but I can tell you it’s cold as balls here in Boston.

It's cold as balls for most of the eastern US right now.

My fancy weather maps are really just saying...looks like it'll be a snowy end of the work week for Boston.

Still over $550 unless I want to fly spirit (which I don’t )

Keeping an eye and hoping they go down towards the end of January.

Oh I completely agree. But my grandmother turning 90 unfortunately can’t be rescheduled for another date.

Going to end up spending over $1000 for the wife and I if they don’t go down.

Got a rare winter storm brewing for the southern Atlantic coast tomorrow. Will be sliding north as the week progresses.

This storm has caused a mess for the northeast today and it's still not over yet. If anyone is flying, I suggest you rebook your flights because most of the airports are closed due to ice buildup on taxiways and runways. I know JFK is closed until 8pm and all flights are cancelled out of JFK and BOS the rest of the day. If you need help, let me know

Philly-Atlanta-MSY is open tomorrow afternoon. You could also do harrisburg to detroit 6am tomorrow? I'd honestly shoot further west and try to go through DTW if possible. Syracuse, rochester, Ithaca are all there

Good advice Cuse. The big snow problems are all going to be near the coast. Go west, and it gets better quick.

Just got off with Delta. Four connections to get home on 6th in BTR late if I want it. Car is at MSY. I could drive home faster. I'll just get hit with hertz one way charges that "maybe" delta will pay for. Im gonna try in morning and see if more NY Metro flights come back online.

Inventory will keep changing and they'll open up some tomorrow morning once flights are operating again. Have you tried making flight changes with the app? I've had good luck with the app and searching for nearby airports
