Good stuff! Hopefully this forces KLM or Air France to come here opening up the Delta base for the future.

I was looking to do in December to London. Would it be that much of a savings to wait?

December of 2016 or 2017? The flights unfortunately don't start until March so if it's this year you'll have to connect.

Yeah unfortunately you're stuck then with the usual flights out of here through Atlanta, Charlotte, Philly, etc.
The flight is available for booking. Departs New Orleans Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 9:20pm arriving at LHR at noon
Return flights from London depart at 3:20pm arriving MSY at 7:40pm. Average pricing is $953, which isn't all that bad for a nonstop to europe...

How much is it currently going for in December? I mean you may save a couple hundred by going once flights start.

1000-1500 is what I tend to find. I'll just have to play around with various sites I suppose. I have seen sub 1000 tickets before though.
ETA: 10 hours flights are usually a couple grand. Sub 1000 ticket at 10 hours is pretty attractive.

I came on here a few weeks ago to say that I thought LHR-MSY would be unsustainable and likely not BA's next US move.
Glad I was wrong.. huge get for MSY!

This is great, although I'm kind of pissed I'm making my first London trip this Thanksgiving

On a long weekend with a Monday off would be a nice move to leave on either a Wednesday or Thursday Night and return on Monday night.
Now if we just get an Air France to CDG...

damn that would be amazing...
But we are getting nonstops to both London and Germany this summer, so that is pretty sweet. You can get a super quick flight to Paris from either.

Its great. Even just to have access to Europe from two different airports with relatively easy and affordable flights.
Arriving in London at say 8 am, you could be in Brussels by lunch via the Eurostar.
Great job to the civic leaders who pushed for this deal. Sure it wont fix the streets or solve crime but it is a tangible improvement.

Any reccos for London and Dublin? Not looking to go as balling this year as we did for Paris, kind of keeping it lowkey.
Probably the most expensive spot we will do is a place like Barrafina.
