Morocco/Spain Trip

Would around a week long trip to Barcelona and Morocco be enough to enjoy both destinations? I would love to knock both out, and maybe catch a game at Camp Nou in Barca
Are there any cheap options traveling between the two, or will I have to fly? Any recommendations as far as safety goes(I will be with my girlfriend more than likely)? I take it either will be fairly expensive to fly to/from. Any other info or must see sights would be appreciated.

Week long for both or week long in each? I could spend two weeks in Barcelona and not get half of what I want done. In fact I'll be there for 9 days in May.

I had a guided trip in Morocco that took us into the Sahara from Marrakesh. The city itself (and others like Casablanca) are not by themselves so exciting to need more than a day or two each. However, the travel to the desert and small towns between were by far the coolest parts and that was hours by car. There's also some parts of town that you should be particularly cautious while walking through.
Ryan air has great flight deals between the countries.
As for Barcelona, I think three or four days is more than enough to see all the things that interest you in the city.

A week in Barcelona will allow you to hit all the parts of the city and even something like Montserrat

A week is not long enough. Maybe if just doing Marrakech a couple days, but would highly recommend taking the bus or cab to Essouira for a day or two.

You should definitely go by the Nou Camp, even if there isn't a game while you're there.

Planning a similar trip in Sept/Oct 2017
Plan on taking the ferry to Morocco from Tarifa. However I plan on spending some time in Costa del Sol / Andalusia so I can see Gibraltar, Ronda, or Granada. Then I'll take a cheap flight from Malaga to Barcelona.
Those who've made the trek to Morocco - anyone been to Chefchaouen?
