Anyone ever been? My wife and I are into the art and have been wondering just how safe it would be to go. I'm sure they have died and donts just like any other country.

It's not like in the bond movie if that's what you're thinking. Although I've heard that because of the movie scene, they are now trying to mimic it.

Mexico City is probably more safe than New Orleans for tourists.

Day of the Dead used to only be a big deal in some of the small towns in Michoacan State. Now they are trying to make it a thing that attracts tourists to Mexico City.

Mexico City is a good art city. Precolumbian art, colonial art, magical realism, etc.

That's interesting. Just found a video that they had their first ever Day of the Dead parade based off Spectre.

That movie really took it to another level considering Mexico City had never had a parade before Even before that movie I kind of assumed they had one of some type.
