Reykjavik Harbor just over a week ago. I had a 2 hour layover each way. My hope is another business trip that will let me lay over for a few days. When we landed in late February I did get a flash of the northern lights but nothing like the photos previously posted.

Thank you very much, I leave Saturday and this will be a big help!

I read that it was expensive there, but my motto is if I have to worry about money then I shouldn't be on vacation. A case of beer was $70 in Turks and Caicos at the grocery store.

Apparently the hotdog cart is a cheaper and very good place to eat.

Duty Free also had Nova sim cards for sale. They had a card with 1GB data for $20 and with 10GB of data for $35. Each card also included $10 worth of phone/text but I'm not sure how much that equated to

FYI for those with Verizon, they have a plan there that is $10 a day (if you don't use it that day you don't get charged) and it gives you full access to your normal plan like data and such.

About like anywhere, some extreemly hot, some not, some nice, some average...you get the picture. I am happy that the cold weather doesn't stop the good looking ones from wearing the trendy black yoga pants.

Got here today and JFK was a nightmare last night, had a 6 hour layover, then our pilots were coming out of Boston and the weather there delayed them, they got there and there was a baggage problem with a flight delayed out of ATL, then JFK shut down to one runway in and out due to wind. I watched 30 planes land while we were 15th in line to take off. In the end it wasn't too big of a deal because the hotel check-in is at three and I still got my room two hour early.

I just checked out my surroundings and had an incredible Crown of Lamb. Doing Ice caves tomorrow, Northern Lights by boat Tuesday, and Golden Circle on Wednesday. I will do a full and complete review when I get back, but already this place is awesome and I have only been here three and a half hours.

A few pics coming when they finish uploading.

Struck out on my first night of the NL, the strength was strong but too much cloud cover and snow falling. The next two nights are supposed to be stronger, hopefully I get lucky.

Golden Circle tommorrow and another shot at the NL, South Shore Thursday, and Ice Cave on Friday.

Good luck.

Which company did you book the south shore/ice cave through?

Norther Lights with Trips

South Shore is with Your Day Tours

Ice Cave is with Reykjavik Sight Seeing, rain and snow tomorrow so we will see.

My late night hotel guy Ragnar (yes it's true) has been helping me out.

I already have almost 200 pics and vids.

ah, so you're doing the Langjökull Glacier. We did Vatnajökull glacier near Jökulsárlón.

Curious to see more of your pics afterwards.

I already have over 100 pics and videos uploaded, I will do a proper review after I get back, but if anyone wants to see what I have so far here is the photobucket.

It rained all day for my south coast tour, but I had waterproof gear so it wasn't too bad.
