Driving to Houston vs Flying
looking at a cost of 50 in gas each way vs 111 RT flight

MSY? Fly
Any closer I'd probably drive.
And by closer I mean Lafayette. BR would be borderline if nonstop.
I'm just over all the assholes on the road with a death wish.

How many people?
How long are you staying?
Do you need a car while there?
For me, travelling alone it really depends on where I'm staying. If I can use Uber everyday for less than $8 or so, I'll fly. If I'm bringing a partner or dog, cost immediately dictates driving.

T I'm seeing round trip on spirit for 66$. Leaves sat AM comes back Sunday evening. You have to book at the airport.

Depends on how far you are from MSY and what you plan to do in HTown. I too hate that drive, but the airport is a PITA. Still, driving always seems to win out because of the need for a car upon arrival. Don’t forget to factor in airport parking and/or taxis to/from airport and Uber while you’re in Houston.

To Houston, I would drive 100% of the time. By the time you factor in driving to the airport and getting there early, you are maybe saving 1 hour each way.
Dallas or similar... Depends on the situation but probably 50/50 on driving

Depends on where you live. Less than $15 uber ride to Hobby for me (about 15minutes). Can get through security and ticketing in about 1/2 hour. Get picked up in NOLA. Easily saves at least 3+ hours and that’s assuming no traffic in BR...which never happens. And so much less stress than driving. And the margarita I enjoy at Pappacitos waiting to board is a great way to start the trip

How long are you going for, what are you doing there?

Go a ticket for 90RT...
I hate driving over 3 hours honestly, just going for the baseball game then going to go see family on Sunday. Will fly back Monday and spend the night in Nola.
