Mine says AMEX (I'm a cardholder) but in the same spot hers says TSPrecheck. She's 16 ... why does it say that on there??

eta Come to think of it I think this happened when we flew to Nashville last year. The TSA Agent sent us BOTH to the line she should have been in and ** I ** got my arse chewed out by another TSA agent for being in the wrong line.

Can I just send her and go through my own line OR what are the chances that they let me go through with her?

This is what I found on the TSA website:

Children ages 12 and younger may use the TSA Pre?® lane when traveling with a parent or guardian who has the indicator on their boarding pass. Travelers 13 and older who do not have a TSA Pre?® boarding pass must go through standard security lanes or apply.

So she gets to go in the pre check line but not you. Bummer!

Yeah she flew through. And walked by on the other side of the glass with a smirk.

They randomly issue TSA Pre on tickets. Every time me and my wife would fly one of us would get TSA Pre and the other wouldn't. We ended up going sign up for TSA Pre so we would both get it more times than not.

That doesn't make sense. If you signed up for TSA Pre then if there is a TSA Pre security line, you always get TSA Pre, and, if you have children, one child traveling with you also gets to go through with you. Always.

This is what we were told when we signed up. Hasn't ever happened where we didn't get it since we signed up.

It's called covering their arse. You should get it every time but shite happens. And if shite did keep happening you need to contact someone.

Oh don't worry I will probably be bitch the first time one of us don't get it. My wife says they are going to put me on the no fly list with some of the shite I pull/say going through security. They patted her down in Detroit two years ago before we had TSA Pre. I had a Pre ticket and she didn't the guard at the line entrance told us both to go through so we would stay together. Well when she got to the screener they pull her out of line. I told her I would make it worth her while if she started moaning when they started groping her. Needless to say she chickened out.
