Denver is terrible

I've been here 3 times now and even the weed doesn't help.
In fact, the astronomical increase in stoners and deadbeats comes close to negatively offsetting the weed.
It's like San Fran with none of the charm and far worse weather

Am I missing something? I went to the Rockies game today and was disappointed in that area.
Where are the cool areas in Denver?
I honestly find Omaha about 3 times as charming (not counting the mountains) so what am I doing wrong?

Denver aka Menver is a total sausage fest. Go up to Ft. Collins for some genuine fun.

Go to the highlands or cap hill and you won't be disappointed. Rockies game area (LoDo) is fricking terrible. Even better, get out of that hell hole and come to Boulder

I enjoyed it the one time I went.
Lots of city bike trails and paths. A few good beer breweries and beer bars.

I like the Cherry Creek area much better than downtown.

Was just there a few weeks ago. Spent a lot of time in the mountains, but was in the city for two nights. Made the mistake of going to the 16th street mall...it was a shite show. Comic-con was in town too.

Been a couple times since a few college friends live there and it seems like a great place to be in your 20s? 
ETA: Stayed far away from 16th Street Mall, but and LoHi + RiNo seemed pretty great for people my age. A lot of bars, patios, and eats within walking distance. Had no problem with Denver and its accessibility to the mountains, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Estes Park.

It's a picturesque city, if looking from the East. No doubt, the influx of stoners will ruin certain aspects of the city, give it time. It was a better place when I was there in the late 90's.

Just got back from a long weekend in Boulder. We won't be going back by choice. The people there are amongst the worst I've ever been around anywhere.
