Checkout Vdara. No casino but it connects to bellagio. It's pretty new, not sure how cheap it is

Didn't realize the IP closed it's doors. Haven't been to Vegas in 5 years, things sure change quickly there.

see if you can get comped access to the little VIP room in the front. Stocked bar, you can pour your own drinks, snacks, fruit, non alcoholic drinks, quiet, etc...
nice to be able to stock up on a few things while out an about

FYI I stayed at the Tuscany for a company meeting a few years back.
It was $29 a night. Lol

It's been a couple of years but I've always been a fan of Treasure Island. Even when I didn't stay there I played there.

Rio is nice for the price ... and has a shuttle that runs to Hareahs and Ceasers

I stayed at the Monte Carlo for a good bit less than the going rates for the resorts more in the middle of the strip. Nice place, IMO.

We stayed last min at the Luxor for a wedding and while it's not one of the top three it was very nice and had a cool theme. You can get rooms in the town next to Pyramid but connected on the inside for a steal.
We rented a convertible too and drove up to the Hoover Dam one day, from the Avis in the hotel. It was super easy.
Cruising the strip with the top down at night was a bucket list item for sure. We only had the car for like 24 hours so just drove back to our hotel and parked when done and dropped keys.
I would absolutely recommend the Luxor for a good price.

Stayed there in early Jan for two nights. Had a meeting for work that was held there.
Was a very, very nice room to stay in. With an M club card it was less than 300 total including resort fee and tax for two nights.
There is a bar downstairs and a "market". The market sells a few drinks and some light bites. The prices are insane, even by LV standards.
It is across a walkway from ARIA, connects to Bellagio via a mostly inside walkway, and is a 2 minute walk to the Cosmopolitain. Short walks to a lot of other places as well.

We stayed at Harrahs a few weekends ago and enjoyed it. Great food area, the promenade is right there, Ceasars is across the street. Check it out.

Depending on time of year, you can get most places cheap

Stay at Planet Hollywood. The prices are good, and it is literally right in the middle of everything. Also, the mall circling the casino has plenty of food but r drink specials. You will be glad you did.
