I know a bunch of Louisiana people are on this board, so try not to be bias.

8 guys in their mid 20's, pretty big drinkers. Which one is better?

New Orleans, unless you're really into country music.

I haven't been to Nashville but I hear it is very, very happening right now. TONS of bachelorette parties. Big Hipster scene now. I think it will be more about walking around, eating and drinking, etc.

NOLA will definitely be more debaucherous I would imagine.

Its also important...when?

If it is Labor Day weekend skip NOLA for sure...Decadence Fest takes over the FQ. One of the largest Gay Festivals in the world.

Where is everyone coming from? If STL, the Nashville is an easy drive.

New Orleans offers a lot more debauchery for a bachelor party and can be done entirely on foot if you're near the French Quarter. The bars are wilder, strip clubs are more accessible, and you can blow your money at Harrahs. It also offers an abundance of great restaurants that can cater to a large crowd of tourists. With that said, there's more riff raff to deal.

Nashville has a fun strip of tourist bars on Broadway, most of them with live country -- a bit more honky tonk. It's cleaner and littered with bachelorette parties, but outside of a few blocks along Broadway, you'll probably want to uber to other neighborhoods for restaurants and other bars.

Both are good options, but NOLA wins every time when it comes to your prototypical bachelor parties.

I have lived in both. For a bachelor party, New Orleans. Definitely New Orleans.

Very few (Vegas, maybe Miami) can beat New Orleans for a couple nights of debauchery. Nashville is not one of them.

If y'all are into strippers and cocaine then New Orleans.. Haha. Nah, both places are fun. I personally rather Nashville but it may be bc I'm burnt out on new Orleans. Make sure you bring him to a strip club to get his arse whipped!

NSH seems like it's a ton of fun (I'm bummed I only spent a half day once :|), but a HS friend had their bachelorette party there last month and seemed like it was a blast.

New Orleans. No question. Look into getting your group a parade.

Meh, I would go a few hours eastward to Asheville instead of Nashville.

NOLA is a good time for that age as well- just don't get sloppy drunk and run off by yourself with the guy trying to sell you blow at 4am.

I have to say, NOLA is the only place I've openly been asked by strangers if I want some cocaine. Personally I'm done with NOLA downtown. Too dangerous for me. I rather go drinking uptown. I'm 26 FWIW.

Nashville bachelorette scene is considered #1 in the country as of now. Can confirm as a resident. They are abundant. Broadway and midtown are legit as frick.

That said, you can't drink on the streets or hit the casino. Or get ripped off with fake drugs. So NOLA.

eta honestly I'd say Nashville for bachelorette and NOLA for bachelor.

I echo this. Nashville is a good town, but nothing beats a good bender in New Orleans.

they should just shut down lower broadway on weekend nights and leave it open for golf carts and peddle taverns.

fricking traffic jams of screamming chicks on peddle taverns
