I'll let Golfer or Bacon answer this more fully, but from where to where/ what are the plane types? Delta has three terminals: A, B, and C. A is super long and houses the larger flights while B and C host the regional flights so if you're connecting from a 757 to a CRJ you'll likely have to go A to B or C. There is a tunnel connecting A to B/C as shown below. If you have a connection solely in A, there are tram stops at A11, A38 and A70 in case you have to go A1 to A78.

Here's the tunnel, enjoy the trip

Great info above and beyond what the delta app map was showing.

Inbound on an A320 out on a B717... I usually never sit rear of the exit row.

Both your flights should be in A then so 43 min is plenty IMO. Even if it's A1 to A78 the tram only takes a few minutes to get all the way from one end of the terminal to the other

If you're staying in A there's a tram above you that runs from each end of the 3/4 mile long terminal. Otherwise you'll have to stop and come back down and take the tunnel (which is legit) to B/C

I've done 30 minutes from A to B/C before without a problem.

B/C as was mentioned earlier are for CRJs/ERJs (a lot of the -900s now use gates on A).

You should be fine, probably even have time to grab a bite.

You'll have no problem in DTW if you know how to walk in a straight line.
