Wiping an iphone clean before trading in?

Does the factory reboot really clear everything? Dont want some random asian getting my phone and being able to recover passwords etc.

What is this trading in you speak of? I just bought a 6s and I have use for this 5. My son already has a 5c, and we have 4s in the junk drawer. This thing is beat up, but still...trading?

Sell or donate it through Pandabit.com

They wipe it before they do anything with it. It's a good company and good people. You can either sell it for a check or donate towards one of the charities registered with their site. Good deal for everyone.

yes it does. Plus all iphones since 4 (i believe) are encrypted. without the passcode you set there is no way anyone is retrieving data off that phone.

see the murder case that BRPD f'd up and got La'el Collins all involved in.

battery is relatively easy to switch out and are cheap on amazon

I've done it before but wouldn't say it's easy - it's not that hard but kind of tedious.

Although now that you mention it for an old phone that I didn't care about it probably wouldn't be bad - I was thinking bad when doing it before and being afraid of messing it up because it was my primary phone.

Verizon offered me 500 for my 6 Plus. Still weighing my options
