Wife wants android with QWERTY

My wife is a bit old school...especially when it comes to phones. She is currently still using a worn out Droid 2. I'm looking to get her something new(er). The one catch...she loves having a QWERTY keyboard. I was just thinking about picking her up a Droid 4 (they are pretty freaking cheap now), but wanted to know what anyone else has found out there that they like.
eta...we are using page plus (Verizon towers)...so it will need to be a Verizon compatible phone. What do you guys suggest?

Probably should go Blackberry if a physical keyboard is her main concern.

I'm still using a Droid 4, and have been holding out for a Droid 5. I don't think that's going to happen, so the 4 is probably your only option. I'm going to miss my slide out keyboard when I upgrade.

Thank you. I was reading this wondering WTF kind of keyboard are you using if you aren't using QWERTY, Dvorak??

My parents were this way for years. Mom had some slide out Verizon phone, Dad had a Blackberry. They both insisted they couldn't type on a screen. Liked the feel of the buttons. Mom got an iPhone about 2 years ago, and Dad got a Droid shortly after. They both realized you can type much faster on the screen very quickly. I would hate to go back to buttons.

My wife was the same way and held on to her blackberry for a long time. Once she saw how good on-screen keyboards were and how fast she could type on them, I don't think she would go back.

Yes...meant physical QWERTY, rather than touch screen only.

LG Optimus F3Q is about the newest one with this feature. Ironically, my youngest is the sole holdout for physical keyboards. She had a Droid 4 - and we were holding out for a Droid 5 for a long time.
She got an Optimus (not sure which version) and has no complaints, thus far.
(ETA: Verizon)

Look at the BlackBerry Classic. Just saw a hot chick in Whole Foods using one. BlackBerry's run most Android apps.
