Netflix
Amazon Prime Movies
HBO Now
Watch ESPN (have a friends password)

I pay about 25 a month for HBO/Netflix and 50 a year for Amazon movies

And about 10 clear local channels I get with Mohu leaf antenna

What's y'all's set up?

Kodi, sling, prime, Netflix, Hulu, antenna. About to drop Hulu because kodi is better in that shows never age out. Netflix is for kid.

It's a software media center that can be loaded on a computer inside of practically any OS as well as on many different streaming boxes. It's most notable for:
1) formerly being known as XBMC, being based off of the media playback portion of the Xbox interface
2) having an abundance of installable applications that are accessible via remote control (the "10ft interface"). It's a solid mix of ways to access local and online content.
3) of the installed plugins, there are some less than ethical ones that allow people to stream content for free that shouldn't be available to them, including live sports and pre/recently released movies.

Most people refer to "KODI" to mean specifically the 3rd choice (as it appears this fellow up here is doing, if he's replacing cable with it, though it's quite possible he's sticking to the more basic stuff like Crackler and Archive stuff), but if you just download "KODI," from its website, you'll be sorely disappointed if you expected that in a plug and play solution.

TVMC is a step towards PnP. Its Kodi with several apps and repositories already installed...i.e. GenesisTV (Genesis?) which has tons of stuff. I can find all my favorite shows.

Xbox 360 w/
Hulu
Netflix
WWE Network
Twitch
WatchEspn

I have found myself watching twitch more and more that past couple of weeks. Some of these streamers are entertaining, some aren't. It is kind of hit or miss, but I enjoy it.

I kept DirecTV and reduced it to the lowest tier. I didn't like the alternatives to DVR and the complexity of Kodi for kids/wifey, so I decided to keep it. I still have all the channels I care about (locals, AMC, HGTV, FX, etc) in HD. The big loss in going with that tier package is losing all sports channels besides locals. Added Fire TV with Prime and sideloaded Kodi. Using my dad's log-in for Watch ESPN, Showtime and HBO. Saving about $40 bucks a month from where I was at and more tv than I can watch.

*For those considering streaming devices, Fire TV is an amazing little box. I originally purchased it over the Roku because of the ability to load Kodi, but I've been extremely impressed with how well it performs.

I'm not sure what the difference in Kodi and Plex is...(I also can't run kodi through Xbone)
