Decided to look around and was offered a direct TV+ 50mbps Uverse Internet combo for 90/mo for two years. All the sports channels and asked for two years of nfl Sunday ticket to be thrown in.

I currently pay 60 bucks a month with Cox (50mpbs).

Good deal or should I look for a better one?

I'm in the process of doing the same thing... I've been perfectly happy with DTVN and kodi but I couldn't pass up the ATT/DTV bundle prices.

DTV choice (with Sunday ticket and hbo) + ATT Gigafiber + unlimited cell data plan for $205

Sunday ticket is a one year deal but I THINK the rep told me I get hbo free as long as i have att cell service. The installers are coming tomorrow so I'll get more info then.

Please post where you saw this deal. I have uverse internet only 45Mb down and pay around $92/month. I've been an internet only customer since January 2012. They won't give me any more discounts unless i bundle. They usually offer DTV and internet, but only 6Mb down for around $100/mth.

I pretty much called and said this is what I need, make it happen.
Obviously when that expires in two years I'll have to figure something out.

Ive cut, then un cut, than not cutting again

Just depends on the situation

In Germany I was full on cutting the cord. In England I bundle my fiber internet with tv. A big factor was the much better picture quality in the UK, with 4K being provided by the major companies.

Back in the US we cut the cord again. Now that I can use my parents log ins and vue with out using VPNs.

This is a pretty sweet deal. I pay more for 2 phones on Verizon unlimited and Cox 200 mbps.

Is this in BR? I had a salesman in my neighborhood quote me 50 Mbps, but when I tried to set it up online they said that it is only 18 Mbps.

I got pretty much the same deal as the op but they also threw in $350 worth of visa gift cards. This was back in February. Installion was free and there are no monthly charges for equipment (up to 4 rooms). HBO free for 3 months since I'm not an att cell customer.

In terms of finding a better deal from a different provider, you most likely won't.

Edit- before anyone starts talking about hidden fees, im on a $90/mo package and my monthly bill, inclusive of taxes and fees is $97. I'm extremely satisfied.

Cord cutting was the worst decision ever. We switched back after a month. Unless you are single with one tv in a one bedroom apartment it's not worth it.

You know...they always offer that stuff for 2 years. I'm like hell...offer it to me for 5 years. I'd love not to be bothered and keep the same service I got...2 years isn't long enough.

I wish they would negotiate for longer periods of time.

i'm in los angeles so there's plenty of competition in my area. if directv jacks up the rate after my 2 years are up, ill just switch to spectrum's new customer triple play package. when that is up, go back to Dtv/att.... rinse & repeat.

agree 100%. also what i find funny is that alot of people claim that cord cutting saves them a ton of money, but what they are really doing is using family or friends log-ins for espn, hbo, netflix, etc.

when spectrum raised my bill i looked into psvue or DTVnow, but for a family with different needs, and the new customer promos from uverse, directv or dish, cord cutting would have been more expensive.

Married cord-cutter with two kids under 5 here, and cutting the cord was one of the best decisions I've made in a while.

We're looking around to cut the cord. After a lot of research, we decided to go with CSpire internet and cable. With 5 receivers, it's going to be $170 per month, which is a considerable savings over the $320 we're currently paying Comcast.

CSpire is rolling out streaming options soon; so we can really take the cord-cutting leap when we are ready.

ETA Comcast sucks. They are absolutely the worst company I have ever had the displeasure with which to deal.

I'm at 200mb (Time Warner), PSVue, Netflix. No HBO, but I have Kodi, so, who cares, you know?

That's $55+$45+$12 = $112 per month. Use FireTV box at every TV.
