Mine is expected 11/17-11/26. I'm hoping it comes sooner, but I'm doubting it'll be here before November.

I thought for sure 11/7 was a lie Verizon was using to safely pad their shipping estimates, but alas, I think that was a real estimate.

I'm wondering if I can just cancel and get a black phone. My phone is borderline inoperable and AT&T
1. was kind of slimy. They had the 6+ that day in stock, but because I wouldn't switch plans made me preorder
2. took 2 hours to preorder a phone
3. lied to me and said that it would be in a few weeks at the most.
4. I'm kind of over apple with all of this. Intentionally creating scarcity is fine, but IMO a slimy practice. They're selling the phone for the same price regardless, all they did is make me wait for a phone while they're iOS update destroyed the one I already had.

I don't think apple planned this. ATT did you dirty, apple just wasn't expecting so much demand.
I assume this because I have a friend who went Android simply because of the wait(and I'd assume he wasn't the only one to do so)

apple is notorious for this, though previously I never blamed them. It is proven to drive sales up. Everyone does it, but it just leaves the core consumer a little pissed off when they additionally ruin your existing phone and do it on such a scale that the consumers who always buy apple are left waiting around like a dick.

I don't think wait times have been this bad this far out from launch in the past. I think they truly underestimated the demand for the 6+.

does it matter, they underestimated but they still intentionally shorted the supply...kind of shitty if you ask me...I cannot cancel, but this is my last time with an apple phone.

I'm afraid to cancel. I keep reading horror stories about people losing their upgraded then everything becomes a bigger clusterfrick.

I canceled my att 6+ preorder on release day after it was obvious it wasn't gonna be here for a while. Woke up the next morning for LSU game checked Apple Store app and they had exact phone I wanted. Picked it up at 10am.

I'm surprised by this. The S3 was one of the game changing phones for the Android Market, and it was my first leg into the Android experience as well (I got it on release, so that was some time ago), and I loved that phone. It's almost 3 generations old now (between the iPhone 4s and 5), so combined with touchwiz, I can't imagine it running well now.
