Just received this text from the Textra team...
This is BS. Existing users should be grandfathered in. Looks like I'm going to try a different text platform.

Geez, it's still free, just supported by ads.
It sounds like you are getting great value from the app. Treat the developers like you would like to be treated.... ie, let them earn a living.

textra has been so great for the android platform (IMO, anyway). they helped me survive the pre group-text capable era of android.

yeah, i use textra for normal texts. i just turn off notifications on the native messaging app.

I just had to get rid of Textra. I don't know what happened, but MMS is virtually non existent. It was so fricking annoying I just uninstalled and went back to native messaging. I loved Textra when it worked though.

I will probably use Google Rewards or search for another. I like Textra but I don't stay long on all apps. I like to cycle through every few months to see if any others have upped their game.
