I'm thinking about getting it. We've had ps vue for 5 months. We like it, but dish has a pretty good promo right now. Looks like we can get the third highest package for $85 plus tax for 2 years. Also includes an echo dot.

You will have to pay extra for the boxes. The Hopper 3 is $15 a month, and the Joeys are $7 a month.

That was included in the $85 price.

That's the 59.99 package with the Hopper and a Joey?

It's the top 200 at $64.99, a hopper and a Joey. There were some other discounts that dropped it down to $84.99. Free HBO for a year.

Make sure you have books or magazines to read when it gets cloudy and rains.

Much better customer service than DirecTV.

Price point is about the same.

Dish's equipment is light years ahead of DirecTV.

No issues for me and I have now been with them for nearly three years after leaving DirecTV.

I've been with Dish since 2000 or 2001. I have the Hopper 3 with 4 Joeys. The amount of tuners that it has is great. I don't have as many weather outages as people would make you think.

I use the Tailgater system when tailgating, and usually activate and deactivate that receiver on the same day.

I had a trip on an airplane last week, so I "transferred" some shows from my DVR to my tablet so that I could watch them when I didn't have internet service. My only knock on that is that you have to be connected to your home network to do the transfer, so I couldn't add additional shows for the flight home, but I didn't need them anyway.

If you want a referral code, let me know. You might get additional credits on top of the offer you have.

That's a pretty good deal! I would jump on it. If you find that particular package is lacking, you can always upgrade it without the hassle of calling in.

Awesome guys, thanks for the help. The equipment looks pretty badass. Does anyone use the multiview? Looks like it could be pretty clutch during football season. PS Vue is cool, but I miss the mindless channel surfing. This price seems too good to pass up.

I have a hopper 3 setup as well.

Multiview is pretty awesome on the side TV during football season.

One thing you need to know. Dish will not get off their ladder to install the dish on your roof...Can't put it high up on your roof.

Done. Total bill will be $92 per month. Looking forward to it.

I use multiview a little bit here and there. Kick in $30, and you can get the voice remote during the install. It works like a champ compared to Comcast's or Cox's (it's the same). The Echo will come in handy as well.

If you go with wired Joey's, get the 4K one. It's a lot nicer, and the voice remote works with it also.

I think I'm getting the hopper with sling, not the hopper 3. Does that make a difference? I don't have a 4K tv.

Yes. You want the Hopper 3!!! Biggest difference is the number of shows that can be recorded at once. LINK

Just get the Hopper 3. Worth it for newer tech and besides it has Sling as well.

Yea, but I think it's at the discretion of Dish Network. I requested the Hopper 3, but it doesn't look like that's what I'm going to get. Probably because I'm only getting 2 boxes.

Are you going through Dish Network, or an authorized re-seller? I wouldn't think that Dish would give out old technology to a new customer.
