I went through Dish directly. They haven't installed yet, so I'm not 100% sure what box I'm going to get. I did see Hopper w/ Sling under Equipment in mydish.com.

I would call them and ask them. Tell them that you want the Hopper 3, and if they aren't going to give it to you, then you want to cancel your installation. You can also see if referral code VCD0018107452 will give you anything extra.

ETA: I just went to the dish website. It you leave the default "Good Credit" they set you up with the Hopper 2. If you select "Excellent Credit" it switches to the Hopper 3. The price is the same between the 2. Shame on you Dish.

I don't have a problem with them, great HD and doesn't go out for bad weather anymore.

Yes. You want the Hopper 3

I chatted with someone, and got the Hopper 3. They charged me a one time $50 lease fee.

I got Dish back in June and called them directly and was quoted $85 for two boxes, a Joey and a hopper 3. They installed it while only my wife was there and they installed a Hopper 2 instead of the 3. I had to call them that night and the tech came back in 2 days and swapped out to the correct equipment. That's the only issue I've had with them so far and I had directv for 13 years prior and so far I prefer dish, their equipment is much better than directv
