Samsung Update

I thought i learned my lesson when i used to be an iphone user and started realizing that every single update slowed the phone down more and more.
2 years ago I switched to an android(Galaxy S4) and I've held off on updating my software for the most part and my phone has remained lightning fast with zero technical issues.
2 day ago I decided to let my phone udpated it self with the latest samsung/android update and now my phone has slowed down to a crawl. My phone literally takes about 3-5 seconds to react to any action i make on my phone now and is incredibly fricking frustrating.
Anyone else have the same issues? Any ideas for me?

OTA are never as good as a clean install. If possible you should root it, install safestrap, and install the stock rooted ROM (or one of the better ROMs).
For an easier option, try clearing the cache and rebooting

sorry, i don't follow..
i'm assuming your an apple fan boy laughing at androids or something?
if that's the case, me and just about everyone i know has had way more issues with apples fricking up (especially) after updates than androids
if that's not the case then please explain

I'm just pointing out all we get on here is bitching and moaning about how Apple updates are problems for older products. Then we see the same thing for Android --and you point that out and you're just a "Fan Boi".

Not really. I'm just average joe on the street that has an older phone that is a Samsung brand and runs Android. I update it with the latest Google release and it goes to shite. Do I really care why? All I know is it runs like shite now and people don't pile on Samsung like they do Apple for it. Suddenly it's just the way it is. But before I bought a Samsung all I hear is how great a job Google does at backward compatibility. However no one tells me that's except for the world's largest Android phone maker...
