Was really looking fwd to this one coming from Nexus 6p but I can't imagine not having a headphone jack.

Especially after Google made such a point to mock Apple for removing it, I'm hoping this is just a rumor...

Anyone not have a headphone jack - do you miss it?

It's all over the internet, you can search for your own "sauce"..

Not a deal breaker..I use Bluetooth headphones now as it is.. Not that big of an issue for me.

I will be heavily disappointed if that's true since I was planning on going from my 6P to it.

Just think it'd be another thing I'd need to keep charged daily. Guess I'd get used to it but seems annoying

What's the big deal

It's gonna have a USB adapter for headphones just like all the other phones without the 3.5mm jack

If there's a way for me to listen to FM still I don't need it, it's the only reason I've ever used wired headphones.

I always use Bluetooth headphones now and anytime I have to use a cord headphone they get in my nerves. I could never go back to using them regularly.

To me a headphone jack is just another hole on my phone to get stuffed full of pocket lent.

Just thought about this. People who use Square will have to buy a separate adapter.

As long as the headphones don't cost a crazy amount I'm good with it.

Is the release date still slated for October? Really needing/wanting a new phone now.....

If removing it will make room for wireless charging and stereo speakers, they can go right ahead.

I don't remember the last time I used my headphone jack. If you can have head phones plugged into the usbc I don't see the problem with it. I'll admit I thought it was dumb for Apple to do it but when you can make a single port take its place, I see advancement.

If phones move on from the regular jack there will be plenty of headphones that support it. I buy new $10 earbuds about 2-3 times a year just because they get lost or damaged. Buying the lightning or usb-c version will eventually be the same thing.

The problem will be plugging in to other people's jacks like the machines at the health club. Right now one pair of headphones works for everything, soon that won't be the case.

Deal breaker for me, but I fly alot more than most and am not dealing with dead headphones or the inability to charge my phone while wearing wired ones.

Yet I might add because this seems to be the future.

I have a 7+ and it still annoys me occasionally. Not a dealbreaker though.

It's not a deal breaker because that is all iOS users have. There is no alternative to the iPhone unless you choose the outdated model.

If the Pixel comes out with no headphone jack, then I'm just going to hang on to my Nexus until it dies and hope someone comes out with a phone that has quick, pure Android updates + headphone jack.

Pretty sure the Moto X4 is going to be my next phone when released, will be the only other Fi compatible option that is supposed to have a 3mm headphone jack, as well as sim slot if the leaks are spot on.

My turd of a nexus has got to go.
