I have the following wireless router:
Rt-ac66u dual band 3x3
802.11ac gigabit router
It's nice, when it works. For some reason it constantly disconnect our wireless devices. I can't figure out if there's a setting that I don't have right or what.
Basically iPads and iPhones and laptops disconnect randomly for a few seconds or mintutes when ever playing a game, surfing the web, or streaming a video. It's quite annoying.
Your help is greatly appreciated.

I have that same exact router and had the same exact problem, it's a firmware update.

Use your web browser to login into the router.

192.168.1.1 I think is default for ASUS. From there log in with user/pass. Default is admin/admin unless you changed it - and you should afterwards lol.

From there click on top right where it underlines firmware version. Follow instructions afterwards.

If that doesn't fix your issue I would look at turning off the wifi on devices that you aren't using. You could be overloading the bandwith causing it to drop connections

My wife's laptop was having issues with my Asus router, I set the 2.4ghz wireless to channel 20(upon recommendation from a web blog) and it solved the problem.
