I ordered early Friday morning and paid for next day shipping. It came through UPS on Monday. The battery in the edge is slightly bigger than regular 6 so I opted for it plus the T-Mobile version comes with 12 months subscription to Netflix or a credit for the value if you already subscription.

I got the edge just to see how the it is. I'm aware it might be a gimmick but I figured what the hell. Hopefully I get to play with it tomorrow.

Qbking77(google him) says he's disappointed with the battery life. But loves the rapid charging.

Yeah, I just upgraded from an S3 to a Note 4. I love the note but by far the best feature is the rapid charging. 5% to 100% in roughly 30 - 40 minutes.

I honestly think we will be disappointed with just about any battery these days. They will be fine but then they will age and apps will require more processing power. I have an S3 that struggles now and a new battery would help it limp by, but apps these days just take more juice.

It's not the apps. Phones these days have more than enough memory and processing power to run any app that's out there.

It's the screens and their high quality, high resolution HD output. It just so happens that you using your app requires the screen to be in which drains the power faster.

This may not be the case with your ancient S3 and it's primitive display but on newer phones it is.

Go to your battery usage details in settings and check it out. Here's mine:

It's definitely the case with my S3. That phone has been a trooper and done it's job. It's just outdated now. S6 is out for delivery right now though.

Samsung fricked that one up on their own. They have this Apple obsession so their phone has to be as thin as possible. Makes no sense that the S6 has a smaller battery than both the S4 and S5. Other 2K screen phones have at least a 20% larger battery than the S6. A 2K screen and a small battery are a recipe for disaster. Let’s not get into their decision on going with a glass back.

I've still got the S3 also, going on 2 1/2 years now. I'm hoping it can hang in there so I can wait to see what the S6 Active is about.

I wanted to do that too but I have a trip coming up that will require GPS a lot. It won't make it without me carrying a backup battery. It was just time to pull the trigger. I wasn't impressed with the M9 and I'm not an apple person so went with this. If I have problems I'll get a battery case but I don't foresee that for awhile. I'm just worried about finding a case that doesn't get in the way of Samsung Pay.

I'm really thinking of making the switch from my iPhone 5 to the Galaxy 6 Edge. I've had damn near every outside iPhone since they were released give or take two or three so it's really tough to commit to the change. The G6 Edge is just so damned beautiful.

I think Polymer is actually pretty decent considering how much I hated previous iterations of their interface. They do tend to try to shove their designs down your throat too much sometimes. Polymer isn't all bad, though.

From what I heard the theme engine can change the look of everything, getting rid of the shitty touch wiz look. Won't be long till there are decent material themes available

One thing that got me away from the edge is finding accessories and the person that fixed my phone was glad I didn't have the edge because he couldn't fix it.

Did they change the way they access the mute and loud function? They took off that on my note 4 and it takes a lot of steps to change.

How do you get the credit, you need to call in? My wife got hers in the mail yesterday and we already have Netflix. Do we have to prove it or something?

My thoughts, as I have the Note Edge. My Edge screen is better with the panels and being able to use them. The one thing the S6 Edge has that I like is the colors for caller when it is face down.

The build quality is nice imo. I liked the feel of it. Although, hers got pretty hot after an hour of use. She's not sure she needed to pay $100 extra for just colors though, she wanted like mine but not as big.

What color did you get?

Getting mine next week. Was really looking forward to the green one, but found out the U.S. is only getting white, black, and gold. At least for now.

I got the white one. Its the most impressive hardware of any device I've owned. I have had at least 15 phones over the last 2 years.

I still carry the Nexus 6 as well, but I'll keep the 6 edge until the Note 5 comes out. I have gotten too use to the benefits of a large phone mainly battery life.
