Is there a way to watch local news on playstation vue (in New Orleans)? All I'm seeing is ABC, NBC, and Fox are on demand, not live.

For me, that's a significant downside of the cutting the cord issue. These online/streaming TV services do not include local channels so you need a HD antennae to receive local broadcasts. I don't want an outside antennae and the reception with the inside antennae I have tried sucks.

According to the local channel checker links at the bottom of this article, none of Sling/PSVue/DirecTV Now have any NOLA or BR locals LINK /
They are working on adding locals, but it's probably going to be a multiyear process like when DirecTV took forever getting local channels added to it's satellite service back in the day.
The solution is to get an antenna and hook it up to your TV. If you want something a little more streamy, Tablo is an OTA DVR that you can stream to multiple TVs, and since it's a DVR you can record and pause live TV.

I have PS vue and pay $5 / month for CBS app on roku / amazon fire tv devices. You can stream local channel live as well as get all shows on demand. I still only pay $40 / month total, so definitely worth the extra $5 for CBS app.

I bought a 10 dollar indoor HD antenna and have never had an issue picking up NOLA channels from Metry

I tried to do this but it wasn't available in my area :(

No locals, I just use Kodi. Living in the northshore, inside antenna just won't cut it. Too far from Nola.

Not sure about NOLA, but PSVue just added WAFB, the CBS affiliate in BR, to the lineup. That should be big for LSU football as well.

Playstation vue will be launching several locals in BR in the next couple of months.

That's good to hear, even though you have on demand for ABC/FOX/NBC, it's really not the same.

Get an outdoor long range antenna and stick it in the attic.

If this is the case, they will kill the streaming market. Zero reasons for 95% of households to keep cable. Huge move for them IMO.

I live in what they consider the momore market and I noticed this week that KNOE is now on my channel lists. The other networks still list as on demand.

They literally have to go into every market and negotiate with the owners of the local channels in that market. They can't just start showing them just because they feel like it.
Except for the stuttering I get all the time when I try to use Vue that I don't get with any other service. Made me cancel it. Horrible.

mohu leaf is the way to go for local unless you live far from a city.
I've loaned mine out to lots of folks to test and it worked great for everyone except one lady who lived in the sticks.
