Looking for a 40" tv for my screened porch. Does not have to be a smart TV.

Best Buy has the 39" Insiginia Roku version for $199

Any other options out there that would be better than this?

Walmart has a 40 inch Sanyo for $198 and a 43 inch Sanyo for $248 right now. Not smart tv's but you really don't need that for a patio.

Walmart has a 50" for 338.00. If I needed a TV right now I'd buy it.

39" Vizio for $219 and they deliver it to your door for free if ya have Prime. I have one and so does my Dad (both outside). Great TV so far. LINK

hmm...not seeing a Prime option on that listing.

I'm also trying to figure out if I have room to go with a 43". I know I want to go as big as I can, but I don't want it to looked too cramped in the space either.

Damn man, sorry about that. I just clicked on the link in My Orders and I know we bought it Prime back then.

Yeah, that's easy to do especially with prices as cheap as they are nowadays. I think a good rule of thumb is the spot where you'll be watching should be 1.5 to 2.5 times the screen's diagonal measurement.

Same question I asked here recently. The prevailing logic is one that I went with: Which is that outdoor TV's aren't justified with their price points compared to buying a regular TV on an accelerated timeframe (once ever two-three years).

I have a large space on my exterior wall on an insulated porch that I wanted to adorn a TV with. So I decided I wanted to go with a 50" TV.

I settled on this model. It got delivered Saturday but it was shattered inside the packaging so I had to reorder a new one. I paid for expedited shipping and ordered Saturday before 1:00pm but it hasn't shipped yet and won't be delivered until tomorrow per Amazon. Kinda PO'd.

It kills two birds with one stone in that its a TV but its also got the Roku Player integrated as the OS for the TV itself. I was planning on streaming outside using WiFi for most of my premium cable channels just using their apps (WatchESPN, Showtime Anytime, HBOGO, etc) and then purchasing a quality OTA Tuner to plug into the back and just simply using WiFi for content like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, etc and OTA for local and just plugging in a power cord.

Oh I completely agree. I should have been more clear. I'm just looking for a good price on a regular TV that will happen to be placed outdoors.

Depends on the application. Plenty of instances where a standard TV would not work. Mostly due to glare and light. But for what the OP needs a cheap TV is the best option.
