I have the new note 7 though it might be hazardous to my household whilst charging.

The official email from att says they'll refund the purchase of the phone, or there'll provide your either an s7, s7 edge or s7 active replacement. Then when the note 7 is back available, they'll give it back to you.

I'm no att strategist. For those of you who are, what would you do? For the record, I really like this phone. I just don't want to die because of it.

Get your money back and buy a phone that's not a Samsung.

Note will be garbage regardless of exploding batteries.

Get your money back and buy a OnePlus 3. You'll get a faster phone for half the price.

Guilt a text from them today. (9 minutes after you posted they hadn't said anything by the way. Lol)

FREE VZW MSG: On September 2, 2016, Samsung announced a voluntary recall of the Galaxy Note7 in response to an issue with the device's battery. Because customer safety is our top priority, Verizon has stopped selling the Galaxy Note7. Additionally, through September 30, 2016, Verizon is waiving the restocking fee. If you wish to return or exchange the device, please visit the store you purchased it from. When you return your Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and buy another smartphone you will get up to $25 off any accessory. Learn more at LINK .

Got that too, right after.

So I get screwed on the $100 in accessories I bought for the 7 unless I make sure it's compatible with the new phone. I don't blame Verizon, Samsung better make it right.

Verizon will exchange all the accessories In addition to giving you the $25 off another accessory deal.

So no deal like ATT where they'll give you a phone until the new 7's are ready?

I got my Note 7 in on Wednesday. I heard about the recall Friday morning.

AT&T said they will give me an s7, s7 edge or s7 active replacement to use until the new Note 7 comes in. I'm fine with that. I'll probably go pick up an S7 this week sometime.

I love this phone. I had a Note 4 before this.

That's not what they told me. The $25 plus a phone exchange is what they told me. No replacement phone like ATT. The exchange is what they're offering.

My question is what are the odds of the battery exploding.

I really like this phone. If I have to part with it for a month or so, thats fine, but I don't want to do it any longer than that

So if you like the Note 7, you're shite out of luck if you have Verizon? Looks like I'll be emailing Samsung

Same, which is why I expect Samsung to make it right. I love this phone.
