New UHD TV recs?

Hey guys, I was hoping to get some thoughts/suggestions on what TV might be best suited for my situation. The panel will be in our "2nd room" which is the living room. A lot of our viewing will be in the home theater room which has the new Sony VPL-VW675ES projector. The current panel I have is a Panasonic P60ST50. I love it, but it is starting to hum very loudly. Also, I would like to move to 4k in our new house. I would like something as nice from a picture quality standpoint as my outgoing Panny!
• The room is the living room, so there is going to be a fair amount of light during the day and we rarely turn off all the lights for TV viewing. We usually leave a couple of lamps on.
• Panel will be mounted above fireplace and the couch is going to be about 12 to 14 feet away.
• I would like 4k with HDR.
• 60% of our viewing is DirecTV withe new Genie 4k box (Obviously, most here will be standard HD). 20% will be streaming (4k and 1080). 20% UHD blu-ray on Samsung UHD player
• I would like to get either a 65+ screen size
• Sound doesn't concern me since we will be using a 5.2 setup in the room
• Budget: I would like to stay around 2k, but can go a bit higher if it is worth it and substantial upgrade over 2kish model
• I have no brand loyalty

I just bought this one. I like it. Independent review sites had it highest rated in the $2k price category.

I recently just got a 55" Vizio M series and love it so far, especially considering the price
And I know a bunch on here use CNET for reviews, and they weren't high on the Samsung KS series. But I do usually prefer Samsung over any brand when not worrie about price

Well since you have a VW675ES you are not the normal frugal Tech poster. Go get you a XBR65Z9D.

I like CNET at times. Didn't know about rtings.com though. I like it too!

CNET blows, I don't know anyone that still uses it actually. Most of us in the know on here use rtings.
I use rtings too, and I wasn't aware that being in the "know" meant using the 2nd google link after a google search. I was simply pointing out one sites review of a TV. But sure, youre in the know and that means youre right

I would spend an extra $1k and go LG OLED
LG OLED65B6P
Or wait til next year when the new Panny OLED's come out.

Took my wife to Best Buy for her to look at the options. First thing that caught her eye were the OLEDs and she green lighted a 65" B6.

But will it blow up and burn your house down?

Little compare to the LG OLED.
Currently saving the extra 1k for this.

Yep, I have last year's LG OLED, 65EF9500, and it is amazing. If you can wait until the end of the manufacturing cycle, they come down in price considerably. It is well worth the wait.
